I was thinking of rooting it, but already update to 4.3, & I'm too lazy to roll back to prev firmware, will wait & see how it perform in 4.4 then I'll decide.
and I heard 4.4 will fixed the camera bug for unlocked phone.
and yeah, white balance will be included in 4.4, probably.

personally, I prefer rubber bumper over alu bumper, sure alu looks more elegant, but like some1 already mentioned, the alu frame itself might scratch your phone, they r metal after all. And rubber is soft, they can absorb impact forces much better than alu. Alu frame is more on deco than actual protection.

your phone AP or ori? not sure about AP, but the ori 1 comes with a screen protector out of the box, quality is much better than those cheap 1.

I think the one on the left is the mic, cos I can't find the mic anywhere else.

opps sorry the one is actually an Anti Shatter Film, there's a layer of film on both front & back glasses. but don't remove it, as the sony logo is printed on the film not pn the glass, removing it will remove the sony logo, & void the warranty as well.

from what I know, removing the anti shatter film on Z1 will void the warranty because the SONY logo will be removed as well, unlike T, Z1 logo is printed on the film. so if u really want to remove it, u better get another 1 to replace it, get some at TaoBao like LeoWillis mentioned. but it's not cheap, RMB60 per piece

the specs r same as the rumored Z2 Sirius, so I think this is actually the Z2, not much improvement except 3GB ram & IPS display. There's rumored Z2 will have 2k display, but I think 2k display on a smartphone is just a gimmick.
