i've been washing my phone all this time and today is the first time i brought it to swimming pool, and then i drop it too hard into the water and the sim card slot cover opened under water..

no problem switching on too but i think water inside causing some hardware function being triggered.. so gotta wait it dry 1st.. front cam back cam flashlight all got water now.. sim card slot shud be dried up already..

Unfortunate stuff happened on me today    Brought my Z1 and finally dip into water for the first time and tadaaa... camera lens masuk air  wtf.. At least my phone wasn't damage and still work like normal. Oh found out my sim card was wet too. Not the slot but the sim itself.

It happen a lot cases before.

Want play inside water, when new and not heat can play, after long usage better don't. Sony use glue, glue won't last long forever, after sometimes or heat will change the stickiness .

Water and electrical still enemies.

Just went for a swim with my z1. Snapped a few under water pic. Everything's Ok until I got back home. Noticed my phone will like soft reboot. It shows the Sony logo, then the flame boot animation, then lock screen, but without asking for the sim card pin. So I open the sim card slot and noticed the white thingy had turned red. But I checked the sim card and is still dry. Then I open the microsd slot and found that the microsd is all wet.

But till now my phone still working Ok. No more soft reboot. Camera still working fine. Internet all still good.

I don't know if you can see well, but from what I can see... It is actually pretty red, is that the moisture indicator you're talking about? That thing right there is already red from the very beginning,  about the time since I first get this baby on my hands. So far, my baby has been behaving well. No issues yet, so is there anything gonna happen to my phone?

BLM also no even but can hold my dashboard phone holder. Cost me only RM10. Use for few months already before I bought Z1.

nope not using the cable anymore, bought it and now its collecting dust, using back the charging dock now. one reason is because the magnet is not strong enough, slight movement oni the whole cable will disconnect

Sony Xperia Z2 goes official. Guess when Android 4.4 hit out Z1 it will be the same

Sony presentation always so straight forward and ads not attractive (the did not have any creative ads like Samsung did).

But I guess that's only in Malaysia. In HK, I actually saw higher rate on Sony user and a tone of ads on MRT. Even TVB also a lot use Sony phone.

actually in recent months, i have already notice there's an increase of sony user when i take lrt to work. sony is gaining market share, but still don't expect it to shoot up overnight and take over samsung and apple

It depends how frequent you charges, my friend HTC Desire HD battery swell due to frequent plug-in/charging regardless of battery still above 20%.

no offense but it doesn't say much of a healthy battery if u need to chare it 3 times a day@@

hi guys, ive been thinking about getting this phone z1. however, i have some concern on the poor low light camera perfiormance, poor battery life with web browsing and video playback, and some battery drain issue (in sonymobile forum). i believe all these issues can be fix via software updates. appreciate if you guys can share your experiences so far.
