white rice is considered to be unhealthy as in you may get fatter eating it over say brown rice.
alternatives are brown rice, oats, wholemeal breads, other such foods. carbohydrates are important. |

QUOTE(Raikkonen @ Jun 29 2006, 10:24 PM) what do you suggest? gardenia is fine, they have several different breads in their product line, white bread and wholemeal, the latter is supposed to be a healthier choice.Looks like you know this thing. breads. Gardenia ok? Carb includes noodles right? How about Maggie mee... Don't drink the 'kuah'..just eat the noodles. maggie mee... err i suppose so, noodles are made from wheat flour not polished rice flour. its not bad to not eat rice, aslong as you're getting enough carbs a day. corn flakes should be ok i guess? i dont know. have to look at the nutritional values i guess, i never really bothered to look at the details in most of my foods |

rice is practically pure carb/glucose. Doesn't turn into fat on its own, but it does contribute if you don't work it off. IMO, brown rice and other grain derivatives are more nutritious, and take longer to be absorbed due to a higher fiber content. Same effect as white rice if you don't burn the excess carbs off though.
Maggi arr....eat too much and hair will drop? That's the popular line going around. Personally, i'd get sick of eating it everyday. |

hey hey potato. you should judge all carbs by its GI value. high GI carbs spikes up your insulin faster than lower GI carbs.
long term intake of high GI carbs will cause havoc to your sensitivity towards insulin. you'll be insulin resistant and all BODYBUILDERS know that being insulin resistant means it'll be easier for you to pile on fat and get a heart attack (heart transplant, oooh, scary), not to mention high blood pressure, low good cholestrol and a myriads of cancer. but its ok since all of us BODYBUILDERS take our white rice with a lot of meat and vegetables which have a GI lowering effect to the white rice, though not by much. but hey, some of us BODYBUILDERS skip white rice altogether so it's not a thing we worry about all the time. So, all you weight loss pill takers and 45.3432 minutes cardio joggers out there might wanna take note else you might need a heart transplant and we don't want that, do we? |

but some forumers are allergic to the word. I think it helps a lot to bold and redden it so they know when to close their eyes when they read the post. just doing my part as a responsible forumer. *thumbs up* *ear to ear grin with shiny teeth*

Kept being sarcastic and patronizing non stop. All inquiries being answered sarcasticly. Well, I'm thinking..what the he77...had enough. I'm not gonna read any bodybuilders postings anymore. Simply because bodybuilders diet and routines is not suitable for non bodybuilders. Totally different. Bodybuilding is just not for me..period. |

QUOTE(Raikkonen @ Jun 30 2006, 10:05 AM) And yes. You're right. Bodybuilding isn't for you. Not even close. Untouchable. From the way you're generalizing in absolutes shows you've no idea what you're talking about. QUOTE(Raikkonen @ Jun 30 2006, 10:05 AM) I'm sorry, you're right. Bodybuilding will never be for you. You simply lack the dedication, drive and passion to live the lifestyle. But hey, it's fine. There are members here who prefer fitness. I DON'T have a problem with that. Why? Because at least they try giving helpful input and they have mutual respect for BOTH bodybuilding and fitness. You have the heart and soul of a *****. You are a 5'7" , 150 lbs of walking, talking, peanut-covered tunaburger casserole...and you have the NERVE to diss bodybuilding? Just because you can't build the god damn physique you want using bodybuilding methods, you act like a wolf crying sour grapes. Learn the word .... consistency. |
