QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Dec 25 2013, 07:43 PM)
btw guys, i had this weird whining sound when i exceed 160-180km/h, and the sound is intermittent regardless of throttle input and speed (so long exceed 160 to180km/h)... it's like a sharp whine... could this be the air intake/filter not properly fitted issue?
*
anyone have any info on this?

bro are you supposed to be able to peel/pry it out easily? the top/both left right side of the rubber lining can EASILY be removed sweat.gif
bottom side seems secured to the base of the wipers/chassis.

is that part supposed to be glued or what? like silicone or something? will have leaks a? icon_question.gif

I think most of our car also came with loose rubber lining. It comes out easily after park under hot sun and drive > 160km/h

Can apply glue or other adhesive to fix it permanently. Silicon will be messy IMO.  hmm.gif

i see... ok another DIY job task for me to do then... aduih need to prepare for sunday's track day (iswara ya, not the sub 300 km mileage new lala LOL!) and now this doh.gif

If I changed a no tinted one, then I tinted it for rm800, anythings happen, insurance company will paid for it include tint?
*
no unless you previously insure including tint. some insurance will have separate sum insured specified for windscreen only and tint (remember i asked before when i was insuring my new lala?)

only way out is either you got undertable/good story making, which most of the time wont work la unless you damn friend with the agent/adjuster.
