I finally able to control my penn squall 30 level wind or not. I did however open up the side plate and add a couple of small magnet to it. bout 6 or them. anyway I mount it onto my 6'6" xpuyu baitcastingrod though. I know I shouldn't do that. but it seem to be easier to control on a baitcasting rod than on my 9ft surf rod. anyway............I'm now able to cast 30ft without any backlash. i'm using a rather heavy sinker though........ hmm.gif not really a success in controlling it yet.

anyway..........the different in stop your spool from over run or backlash when it come to a baitcaster and a multiplier. for a baitcaster you put your thumb on the spool gently slowly increase the pressure until your sinker oor lure hits the water. for multiplier however you do not put your thumb on the spool. i'll said it again never ever put your thumb on a multiplier spool when you cast. it'll burn your thumb skin right off.

to be continue soon.

today i casted my penn squall 30lw without all the magnet. it works.....no backlash no nothing. but I gotta say though. this reel is best used with heavier sinker........28g can't really feel it though since the reel is rather heavy.

as to the part where multiplier reels cast further than baitcaster.
I still gonna need a lot of time to prove that.

anyhu gonna test it again on my surf rod tomorrow!!!

what do you do when you bought a tool or accessory that pissed you of.....?

you get your self the biggest rock you could find and use. then smash on it as I did with my penn squall 30lw.

remember remember the 5th or November. never ever start your multiplier reel career with a multipler that has no braking system. trust me. its a waste of time and money. penn squall reels are very fast reel and its extremely hard to used when your multiplier reel doesn't come with any form of braking system. you stupid sob I used up two roll of mono line on that reel T.T........luckily its not those pro-what ever line. those mono I used are 9.50 a roll very very cheap. caught tons of fish with those line. man spending rm50 for a roll of fishing line that only has about 100m+.

my brownback trevally just bite the dust T.T

oh what the hell. good things never last very long. not for me at least T.T

next up gonna try to find abu Garcia ambassaduer 6400 c4. heard its a decent beginner's multiplier reel.

hmmm abu's multiplier reels drag sucks as i'm told by a lot of site. but then again there are also a lot angler from around the world especially in Auckland where they do recommend picking a fight with adult salmon using abu 7000i
so I guess they aren't all bad. there's a picture of an abu 7000i mounted to a surf rod and beside it there's a kahawai. kahawai are well known in nz every one over there knows they can put up a fight. they are not as powerful as kingie but they'll still gonna give you a hard time reeling it in. I've caught 2 during my last visit to Auckland. I got one at the harbour bridge and the other at the silo park. those two aren't really big. probably less than 500g. didn't put up much of a fight thought. and lexa 100 is strong so are the crappy line i'm using.

for the record........as good as you are with casting a baitcaster like me and my lexa-100. casting a multiplier reel is a whole different story. its not just side B or second chapter. its a whole nother subject.

I don't get what's the different between a multiplier reel with a mag elite or without a mag. what I do know is that that mag elite thing cost about RM100 in difference.

I mean an abu Garcia ambassaduer 6500 c4 pro rocket made in Sweden cost RM 600 ( son of a bitch tackle shop owner in Ipoh have to charge extra 20 when they r selling them for RM600 in penang) and the one with mag elite cost RM720. what the hell.......... hmm.gif I was thinking on getting one though..........too bad they r all right handed. hate right handed reels. T.T
