Just bought a good secondhand set yesterday, flashed to 4.3 ml2.

So far so good. Glad that I'm finally joining the S3 bandwagon although it's (a bit) late.

Not working.

I'm currently has philz inside, if wanna switch to twrp, issit just simply flash twrp and it will overwrite the the current philz?

Guys I have tried various 4.3 Rom, specifically from android hd revolution and omega but both suffer from lagginess issue and what not similar to the stock.4.3 from samsung.

What about 4.4.2 cm11 roms out there, any issues?

guys,i got 1 problem,didnt realized it until recently...my camera if normal snap no problem,but when turn on flash n snap,my hp screen will turn black n auto shutdown,using stock camera n 3rd party oso the same...

now running slimbean 4.3.1,even previously running 4.1.1 oso the same,i thought after flashing new rom can solve but still same this happened...

Ah, thanks for da info. One of the reason i lazy try rom is the super slow nandroid backup.

i tried rooting using it but now my s3 is stuck at the boot page. Entering Recovery mode with TWRP, it mentioned that there's no OS installed.

Any ideas guys...?

Thanks for that. But I have now backed-up using CWM but I cant locate them in root folder using ES File Explorer. The same goes to /mnt/shell. They are empty. Any idea where the nandroid is stored?

what rom version are you in? If 4.1.2 use framaroot and if 4.3 use cr-root.

use root checker to confirm your root status...

anyone using set cpu? can share ur settings to save some sweet juice. And if i had set the profile say pegasuq set the limit to 200-1200mhz , do i need still need to power save via s3 default settings?

Is the problem only happen when you take photo with flash?
If yes, please verify if you are using third party battery?

I ask all these because I had this problem before, on stock ROM no root.
After extensive checking and testing I only found out the culprit was my third party battery.
Change back to original battery and the problem never return.

Im tempted to flash cm11 temasek but I read somewhere the camera is not so stable. Whats the workaround? Can I install stock samsung camera?.cheers

come to think of it,YES only during flash my phone hang/shutdown n YES i'm using 3rd party battery...well not actually 3rd party coz i bought original battery (2100mah) separately...

i dont understand whats the reason coz when comparing both battery (original n spare),the specs r the same,both NFC capable,both 2100mah,both made in korea,same volts etc...

maybe there is explanation about this that i dont know myself...
