since 4.0b battery life improve a lots. i can get almost 24 hours with 3 hours screen on by using 3g all oh the time.

Since I got the zerolemon 7k mah, I don't care about battery life anymore, typical casual usage can last 2 days

So how can I update my Android version? Or staying at ics is good enough? I have never rooted before, I'm scared later this ap set dies

Flashing to newer ROM doesn't mean you need to root .. Rooting is just gaining admin access to your phone and do all kind of great staff that Stock not able to...

UK ROM quite plain and i didn't see any custom APPs from it. 0 issue to revert back to Malaysia. After warranty expire your phone become no man land cause as long as you need SC service charges the same.. So why bother what country ROM....

Temasek is not pure Android at all. It's like rojak already, in a good way.

Pure Android is pure aosp rom that is the stock rom on Nexus device.

Cyanogenmod was the closest to stock, before Omni appear.
Cyanogenmod added many useful features compared to stock.

Other rom like slimbean, aokp, chameleon, paranoid Android all have their own unique features, making them not fully pure Android.

Back to temasek, this guy is kang expert.
He put everything into his rom, TRDS, halo, cm tiles, cursor control, active display, non intrusive call. Basically everything available, except for PA dpi engine.

Real pure Android is a pain to use due to many lack of features. I rather use a touch wiz rom than completely stock.

btw i admit that temasek is really pro in his rom, even though he already has new Note 3
he still supports the rom because of his passions
