This is precisely why I avoided buying Day 1 release. Early adopters are beta testers who suffer the inconvenience of faulty hardware. I really feel you bro, my PC has been away for 8 weeks JUST to claim warranty via Viewnet and it's not back yet.

What's recommended is to wait a few more days after the fanatical fanboish dies down and buy it on the spot to test units in the future.

Sony USA is replacing the faulty units around 3~6 weeks, according to posters.

Blaming anyone doesn't help the situation, since the best course of action desirable to you is to get it fixed ASAP without the burden of extra cost.

I doubt Sony Malaysia will heed your concerns since the PS4 will sell out anyway and they're still busy with supply and demand and all those promotions. One unhappy customer is not going to matter to them.

i had my old ps2, was the first batch during the japanese launch and its still working till now..
in fact many ppl said that the first batch of ps2 at that time was the most durable, with high quality lens and hardware, during the revision, sony opted for cheaper parts from other manufacturer to cut the cost down thus causing issues in other batches. My friend has 3 ps2 spoilt and finally he gave up.

its juz matter of luck thing. It doesn't mean that you buy it 1 year later, the situation going to get any better.
Warranty claim still take as long.

Theres always cases of like this, in every product launch.

@lim360

send to impulse, he will try n get those done for you..
my dualshock3 previousy had issue (SG warranty) and he settled it for me..
but it takes some time..

feel bad for those who are affected..

on the side note, i think poslaju handle stuff better than SKYNET!
FXXKING HATE SKYNET, i used skynet far less than i use Poslaju service but they manage to screw up alot of my package..

my tekken tag tournament CE, with a HARD WOOD casing, they manage to break it!
its made of wood, and to break it you really have to like throw it really hard or intentionally wanna break it!

and yesterday my PS4 arrive in a wrecked box, with one corner of the box soaked in water..

SHITTY SHIT

Apparently we all can't test the console even if we bought it on the spot. So it's not valid. You can try asking the shop whether they allow you to test or not, but my bet is they don't allow.

the last time i do testing for electronic item before leaving stores was those lampbulb i buy in ikea.
i test none of my device on the spot..

but DOA item should be one-to-one exchange..
its very unfair to make them wait ya..

this is not sellers fault its sony's part of problem

Any reply from Qisahn? I have yet to buy mine as I am waiting for more reviews. My friend's experience with Qisahn was sooooo bad, he ban them forever liao irregardless of how cheap their price can be. So, when I heard you buying from Qisahn, I pray for you.
