Back when Sony Malaysia first announced the PS4 price, I vow not to buy from them. But seems like we might not have a choice now. After reading all 17 pages of this topic, seems like Sony Malaysia will only honour the warranty for console purchased either directly from them OR consoles purchased from Sony in another SEA country. They will however accept the warranty for consoles purchased from resellers or regular shops but requires much ding-dong-ding-dong.

But having said that, neither Sony Malaysia or local resellers/shops has the solution to BLOD yet. Why? Coz the only solution for BLOD now is 1-to-1 exchange and they are all out of stock. Therefore, the 'technician diagnostics' is just another way to stall.

Also noticed that PS4 is not very hot. After playing for 2 hours, the back vents are MUCH cooler than the PS3. And I'm using SSD on PS3 summor (which should reduce heat by a huge margin).
