Agreed. Especially when it comes to electronic items, the most ideal method is face to face. Imagine if you are anxiously waiting for your console only to find out that you received a DOA unit

PS4 heats up pretty fast. But as long as it is ventilated, it should be fine. But it is way louder than my PS3, probably more fans

Most of us here are enjoying our consoles without any issue.. there is nothing wrong being an early adopter, many of us are willing to spend on something that we feel that makes us happy, not what people tell us to do. Buying an electronic item is never 'risk-free', there are consequences but most of the time, it is all depending on luck.

So you have the choice to fork out 1.7k on a console, no one is forcing you to buy it. Don't input your views on others because we are happy with our consoles and you are there sitting at one corner sh*tting bricks that you are unable to decide if you should buy the PS4 or not. What a sad child you are. We don't need your sympathy.
