I'm considering to have a one-day legal aid clinic to assist and advise those who need legal advice on a FOC basis.

Haven't ironed out the details yet as I want to gather feedback from the forummers here as to whether it would be a good idea and to gauge feedback.

Tentatively, it would be arranged as follows:

1. To be held on a weekend, either sat or sunday. Am looking at a weekend next month.
2. To be held at Menara UOA Bangsar - linked to Bangsar LRT = easy access
3. To be held on Time appointment basis with strict emphasis on punctuality.
4. 30mins per client - to bring all documents and have information ready as time is of the essence. If the issue is complicated, could probably arrange for 1 hour.
5. First slot can start at 9am and could end at 6/7pm (depending on feedback) with an hour break for lunch.

Any other suggestions would be welcomed.

Area of law need not be restricted to S&P or loan matters. It could also be on probate/inheritence/trusts, contract, negligence/tort, family, administrative and public law, land, industrial relations/employment and even criminal matters.

Would require some basic info on the issue before confirming the appointment as I would not want to waste your time if the issue is beyond my expertise. It would also give me some time to do some research, if required so that the advice can be clearer.

What do you all think?

There is a pinned topic at the top of the Property Talk forum called 'Lawyer's Corner'. I was the one who set it up and maintained it for 2 years, but was unable to set up v3 due to work commitments this year. This proposed legal aid clinic would be a way to 'make up' for the lost one year. Cheers.

my first step is track this thread after i saw this.
suggestion :  if their question a vy privacy.. set a number of case you will handle a day, and counter check with the appointment code when they come, like their phone number . else i am sure u will hv a vy vy vy long q .

if their question are not privacy and can share among, why not gather all the case then hv a round table talk .... my 2 cent...
