Wow that is seriously bad then.

To be honest, there aren't many Pay To Play MMOs anymore. Surviving ones are industry leaders in their own games or niche enough, no one else can compete.

Example, WOW being an industry leader and Eve Online which is a very niche game with still increasing subscription.

I had high hopes for Warhammer because in a way it's the spiritual sequel to Dark Age of Camelot and it's the original Warcraft universe. Mythic, for all their failures, are pioneers when it comes to introducing groundbreaking ideas. They were the first to introduce realm vs realm and pvp battlegrounds. The first to implement public questing - which has now become a popular trend for a lot of mmos. But what let them down is execution i reckon. Ideas means little when you don't execute them in the best possible manner. And this is why WoW has succeeded for a long time - they may not be pioneers of mechanics but they were extremely effective at balancing mechanics and delivering content/patches in timely manner.
