I would recommend to build a hackint0sh if you can if you are very serious about having a high-end desktop that can run OSX and pick up a copy of OSX - then you can have something light as air if you want to code something quick

That'll be great. Will go to All IT and buy the adapters and wireless mouse since the apple mouse doesn't support Windows.
*
It does work anyway, apple mouse works with windows - its just that you don't get fancy scrolls and all

FYI I am using apple mouse in windows and it is working well

BTW can your windows access to the Mac OS partition?
*
Yes , be sure to install Boot Camp drivers

You'll able to see Mac OS X partition else just pick up Mac Drive

First things first, make sure you can turn it on. Then, check the physical condition, battery, trackpad, keyboard, USB ports, DVD drive, and make sure the owner have removed his/her Apple ID from the Mac.

Good read: http://www.cnet.com/how-to/tips-and-checks...a-used-macbook/

Im interested on getting a latest version of MBP retina, however this statement on RAM/memory category caught my attention

" Please note that the memory is built into the computer, so if you think you may need more memory in the future, it is important to upgrade at the time of purchase."

Wonder the RAM is not exchangeable?
*
the rMBP lost the ability to have upgradable memory - I love my cMBP (2010) - you could swap the hard disk out and the memory out

My recommendation since it is soldered and if you are going to use it for a long-time and it is your primary machine , upgrade to 16GB , if you have a powerful desktop computer or another computer , stick with 8GB
