No real issue with my MBPr .. only that when I use the charger without the extension cord, i feel some static on the aluminium body ..

looks like the charger is not grounded properly... using the extension cord which comes with the notebook solves this issue completely

Plenty of ideas, but perhaps if you could help describe your situation in a little bit more detail then the good folks here can assist you.

Details such as which version of the OS are you running, what apps are running in the background. How many tabs of Safari do you have open and what does your usage monitor tell you?

Probably just not used to it.. coming from someone who shifted from primarily windows life..

the mac os is a bit unnerving .

still getting used to it for personal capacity.

But when at work, definitely have to boot up windows :|

Guys, now that Broadwell is out. Any ideas when the new 13" retina Macbook Pro will be out. I can't wait to get my hands on one. Does it have same time release like the US or is gonna take a while like the iPhones? Thanks.

Macbooks are launched here in malaysia about a week after us launch smile.gif

I got my mbpr about 6 days after the us launch tongue.gif

Just to share with those who don't know, some windows applications can be used with Mac without the need to install windows either thru bootcamp or virtual machines. You can use a paid app called CrossOver. Definitely worth it if you just need one or two windows app.

Read the article below for more info:

Good article.

But Microsoft products are a b**** by itself in its native windows ..

let alone using this cross over app tongue.gif

Hahahahah.

Sad but true.

TBH, I've never tried CrossOver myself, so I wouldn't know. But the idea of being able to run windows applications without actually installing windows is appealing to me.

I would assume it will be appealing to those who can't stand the idea of having windows inside their macs as well.

Indeed. but thats the reason why i bought the 256 variant.

and thanks to Transcent, I have the jetdrive lite as well which further expanded my memory by another 100 gb odd ..

quite happy overall, and have enuf space to do all the stupid things i want tongue.gif

Currently waiting for the hi-speed microsd card to have the 128Gb variant before going for the Jetdrive lite.
*
The jetdrive lite is sd card on its own

Its not an adaptor smile.gif

I bought it from amazon, quite cheap

Read 95, write 60 .

Tested it using memory tools and they come pretty close. but only for the newer generation mac books due to the fact our sd readers are usb 3.0

Its form fitting into the sd slot, so you dont even know its there. I am quite happy with it.

Jet Drive Lite

Just received mine yesterday.

Anyone having issues trying to add company gmail in Apple Mail? Google around and tried several suggestions with no luck.
*
No problem for me. But I honestly hate using the mail app.

DO you guys have good alternatives ?

I really like my outlook. lOL
