Recently threw my back out in gym. Was having a really stewpid bad form while doing back related exercises. Now paying a very painful price. Thank god its just a muscle sprain and not a slipped disc.
I don't know enough about back injuries and rest periods but how long will it take before I can go back to my gym routine? Till the pain goes away? I have been resting for 3 days and my physique is getting worse by the day. The pain is getting milder and should be gone by tomorrow fingers crossed.
Also I did not know my body will deteriorate at such a quick rate! Normally how long will you skip gym before your body shows it? Just wanna get everyone's opinion and experience. Cheers!!

Guess everyone has their day 😊 Honestly no one can advise better than your body. If you go to doc, 2-6 weeks.. I, for one, having very bad chronic back issue, once in every 2 months, the pain will revisit me, normally I rest for a week.. When I feel I can hit gym at. 80%, the remaining normally cures in super fast.. That's my personal set of problem. It's time to look into your form, start lower weight while recuperating, before hit twice harder 👍 Cobra stance helps to ease up back muscles.

I'm not an expert for sure, but I did injured my back previously. I was doing heavy one arm row and without me realizing, I was cheating. I strained my back pretty bad. Bad enough to think that it's a slipped disk. However, I've stopped doing DL and one arm row, and I incorporate bent over row. Now, after 2-3months, the pain is no longer there. Even if I try to replicate the same movement that I did back then to inflict pain in the affected area, I no longer feel it now. So I guess working around the injury is the best bet?
