QUOTE(-kytz- @ Jan 5 2014, 01:26 PM) DAMN why am I having even worse battery drain when I am sleeping???? Using Franco kernel. install Wakelock Dectector then Greenify it.Wifi /3g off, Wifi set to always on during sleep and minimise battery, gps location reporting all off, set to battery mode. I lost almost 50 percent during the 9 hours sleep just now!! Wait a second, my mobile standby seems to be around 9 hours+ which is about the duration I have slept. The description says "Battery used by mobile radio" What? I've already enabled "on Wifi during sleep" so why is this here? about your BBS, PWL show AudioMix drain. turn off both Touch sounds and Screen lock sound. works for me. |

QUOTE(mansooriqbal @ Jan 6 2014, 01:19 PM) I vote ElementalXQUOTE(zorbyss. @ Jan 6 2014, 01:28 PM) Little off topic. I vote ASUSyou guys vote for LG, ASUS or Samsung for Nexus 10? I don't like Samsung's hardwares. AMOLED, exynos ughhh. So eager to get one if the offer is good. IPad Air damn bloody expensive man. somehow, component supply are major consideration for Google specially display, so Samsung are advantages added coz of inhouse display supply, follow by LG. So the only hope Google opt for LG, instead of Samsung. I don't like Samsung too. |

QUOTE(ashwin988 @ Jan 6 2014, 02:39 PM) My nexus 5 cant go to -100, it would reboot. However, i can push my 300mhz settings to -175. I dont really do that anymore, very slight difference either way. Thats the reason why i usually undervolt ot -75 or -50. More then enough for me never try RASTAKAT before, please share why you loving it? which features you like the most About roms= use either the stock 4.4.2 rom or try cataclysm or purity. I am using rastakat and loving it |

QUOTE(ashwin988 @ Jan 6 2014, 02:58 PM) Bro to be honest.. its a very simple rom and i love cataclysm as well, but rastakat seems to be very good with all the kernels and runs pretty darn well. I have tried purity as well and its good, but with Rastakat, i seem to be getting better battery life with most custom kernels. good sharing Not sure, its best that your try it yourself. In terms of features, i would say purity and cataclysm have more tweaking options comparatively whereas Rasta is updating and adding more features slowly simple is good. some love slim rom, keep the android as light as possible. then only use Xposed to add the only tweaking options or features needed. QUOTE(xxdesire @ Jan 6 2014, 03:18 PM) Nandroid backup basically backup your whole phone (data,recovery,rom,etc..) I like TWRP because of the USB-OTG support. we can direct nandroid backup to USB thumbdrive. so those high internal storage usage user, has no worries on insufficient internal free storage.Yes, you can use TWRP to do nandroid backup. It's good enough. Just need to make sure you got enough storage Titanium backup can backup your apps+data so let's say you wiped/factory reset, you can restore back the apps + their respective data (eg: games + your progress is saved and you can restore it) |

QUOTE(faiz293 @ Jan 6 2014, 03:31 PM) in TWRP. there is 2 options on where you want to save your backup file.1. Internal Storage 2. USB-OTG in other recovery, CWM. last time I backup to internal storage first, then only from phone transfer to laptop. so wasting your time on copying... (I'm not sure is new CWM add OTG or not, long time din check) meaning that TWRP will direct saving the backup file directly to thumbdrive if you select second option. this is damm good when your internal free storage less than 2GB or not enough. |

QUOTE(shinichi88 @ Jan 6 2014, 09:53 PM) Did anyone has problem charging this phone with USB from pc? old galaxy nexus using 1A charger and Nexus 5 is 1.2A. my suggestion is rooted, then flash fast charge support kernel. vibration weak by default is battery saving concern. if you need stronger vibrant, also same, rooted and mod.It indicate charging but, the percentage is slowly dropping. Charging with AC is fine.. How to charge phone in office now? My old galaxy nexus doesn't has this problem And I notice the vibration too weak.. New Nexus 5 white 16GB user here Manage to get 1day and 1hour ++ on battery first day, wifi on 24/7 |
