Yeah, to me it made significant improvement but must try yourself to feel the difference... power cables very expensive! 

Yeah yeah... last time I used stock cable for my sub... initially thought it was good but after recommended by some sifu then try with good power cable, wow the result was awesome! just sounded like a different sub... before I only hear LFE but after change the cable, I can feel LFE... tactile bass! Was amazed with the result although it was very expensive to me but defo worthy!

I'm using 6011 also, good power cables does makes a difference, you will notice the difference more in stereo music imho.

for uk plug. most important is fuse. then connector material. then cable.
fuse very hard to judge without listening. so far i swap from old electrical appliances from family houses. a lot work.

thats why some sifu change to usa plug. no fuse required.
just choose material.

cut the end. diy 3pin plug.

Usually avr don't cause much issues... Usually only top range avr power cables are removable... sigh!

At first, I thought of A2060 also but sifu advised me to save up and go for a3060... as some got a2060 regretted then folk out $ again for a3060... I been through this for my past experience, so now I will try to go for the best that I could afford rather upgrading all the time which cost more at the end!

How was the 5010 compared to your v681? It didn't sound good?

The changing cable thing sounds like snake oil to me coz if new power cables can make a difference they are implying that the original cables are defective/crap?
I don't really understand the logic of this power socket and power cable thingy. Is it just a placebo affect or there is some truth to it?

While I don't discard the fact that amps can sound different (because they measure differently, therefore they CAN sound different), but comparing your v681 which is situated in your home vs a 5010 in a shop is like comparing Indian curry to Mexican salsa. 2 different things yo!

What you hear in the seller's demo room is not what you will hear in your room. You mentioned dialogue being "soft", but can you be certain that the seller has actually corrected/calibrated the center channel levels? I mean, are the speakers even placed correctly in the first place?

It just sounds to me that the seller is purposely making the SR5010 sound bad and then say "get a better power cable, will improve sound". Wtf kind of advice is that?

Hi there... can give recommendation for home theater setup for budget around rm1k.. value for money..already bought led tv 4k 65 inch.. planned to install it to 8 feet wide wall..
very noob in audiophiles world.. hehe

When you replied "not possible" and suggested to increase his budget much more... his answer "owh really" made me guess that either he is not willing to "wait and save" or already decided not to spend much much more or have some other reason. I do actually know of friends who budget around RM 6K, then spent around RM 4.5 K on the 4K TV leaving around RM 1.5 K for the entire All-In-One HT system... even after my advice to increase budget.

I am very sure that 100% everyone who wants HT do dream of a full high end system but each person have his/her reasons for the budget. I think he already knows the quality that can be obtained with that low low budget so I avoided suggesting any reasonable quality system costing around RM 5K.

Well... maybe... he will change his decision and go for much much better budget. Only he can decide as its his money.
