Going for " the console that is more popular" route is not necessarily the right choice. You'd miss out on great selections on other consoles that "are not so popular" but later picked as the console of choice by certain developers. Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes was never released in other console other than GC, so does the Rogue Squadron series. As for the price, it has been a while already where forum members here have bypassed the local shops who , i quote, "were selling in a ridiculously high pricing", and wentthe smarter route like getting them from Play Asia and Lik-Sang with free shipping. Then you complain about "no credit card"? Get the AmBank prepaid credit card. It is all up to you to put in a little bit of effort to get more reasonable prices.
If your logic is going by "the more popular choice", judging from previous gen, Playstation would be the logical choice. But would it be logical to get it solely on that reasoning? the wiser way would be to go to where the games go, meaning get the console that has the game you want to play most. The lucky ones would be able to get all three no doubt, but if you can only go monogamy (not poligamy

) , then it would be better to wait till all three consoles have shown their big guns.
P/s: There is alos the "other" group of people. These people wait and see which console gets cracked first, and they go for these consoles. Of course, PSP_Boy's intention of posting this thread have no bearing whatsoever with these people, since their decisions on getting these consoles arent made because of gaming or price issues, they are made because these consoles are piratable for them.
