using your own oil might have problems with warranty should u need to claim it, is what they said. since u are using own oil might as well service outside, much cheaper. anyway since we service every 5k, thinking of using semi-sync instead of their 0-20w.
I also heard from their staffs saying many customer complained their car felt heavy after went 3000km....meaning Honda oil is not that good. also many engine oil now already API SN. Honda oil still SM. this rating always change after 2-3 yrs from what I heard...after this maybe API change to SP example...then I check with idemitsu 0w20 fully sync they say the price is rm2XX. Honda oil = idemitsu. but Honda oil with same rating only price rm1xx. why so cheap?that Honda oil is fully sync also....
then the SC once offered me if I don't want the fully 0w20 can have other Honda oils like 10w30, etc..what???? they should know for CRZ only rating w20. if 30 or 40 that will make car slightly more heavy...
I've have known Honda technology and their engine really sensitive to weight issues...u can feel the difference...like turbo cars or continental cars you won't feel the diff....rarely...but with Honda you can...for example after washed the car, inflate correct tire pressure, less unwanted baggage, do all this u can feel the car has power.
but some people say for CRZ the loss power, IMA motor can compensate that...yes, but if you take consideration of all the above the CRZ actually is really2 a fast car. if you drive it correctly and patiently car can achieve good mileage...depend on the road traffic condition of course..
so guys...CRZ is a special car...it want us to treat it as a fast car & fuel saver car so for us as owners need to care it as the "special one".
fyi, I installed the obd2 Bluetooth and install torque pro apps for android hp...so with this tool I can monitor whats going on with the car's engine...really helpful...
