QUOTE(Balanar @ Jul 2 2014, 01:52 PM) Yeah S+ kicks in when the car is about 30km/h +. So was wondering once S+ kicks in, then you activate it, whats the speed to 100. lol 30 onwards you can s+. but for manual your s+ stops when you change gear then you have to press again. i find it troublesome.QUOTE(rx330 @ Jul 2 2014, 02:52 PM) do they seriously do that? depends la. stock suspension then can't do much. since my gf is driving, i dont think they can ajak anything out of the crz hahhahaha heck, the crz is 120hp, whats there to race QUOTE(metaloid @ Jul 2 2014, 03:19 PM) Can anyone advice, how can i go about installing a keyless system and push start for the car? This is the biggest let down for me and those around me are showing off their keyless and asking if i have it :/ just saw the new jazz and it has keyless and push start and also our changing light dashboard |

any of your manuals sometimes have notchy shifting? few times shifting down to 1st at low speed (8-9kmh) is hard to engage. gear shift up from gear 2-3 also doesnt feel very smooth sometimes.

QUOTE(gunplakk @ Aug 1 2014, 08:41 PM) nope, the engine was update significantly This is correct. I had my doubt as well about the engine, but recently realised the redline level is different. http://asia.vtec.net/Engines/CR-Z/index.html --> old 114hp for MT http://asia.vtec.net/Reviews/1GCRZMMC/mmc.html#.U9uKduOSxvQ --> FL - 120Hp for MT, and redline raised to 6600RPM ![]() Pre-FL. QUOTE(Nitrous @ Aug 5 2014, 05:59 PM) Yea, there are "local" or custom made downpipes available, just be aware of the first section where you will need a better quality (strong casted iron preferbly) due to the intense heat and velocity of the gasses coming out, and also the EGR return pipe done up properly (or you can opt to close off the valve). I m using local cap ayam kampung kinda pipes as well, replica HKayAsS... IINM there is 2 cats on the Z? are there any emission sensors located at the cat area? if you de-cat, does the emission warning come on? Note that once you have removed the front cat, there will be hollow klinking sound from the downpipes due to missing cat converter, so your car can get slightly louder. i would decat but not at the expense of an annoying check engine emission warning on the screen QUOTE(civicspoon @ Aug 6 2014, 03:48 PM) engine oil petro canada semi lol there's no way anything short of a mugen super/turbo crz can ever touch an evo. even then it would be difficult.yes the lancer was modified. im not sure its a lancer or evo 10. (it was dark) s+ button gives u an instant electric motor power deliver to flywheel....i drop 5th gear and press s+ to get a faster acceleration (but hybrid battery will deplete much faster)...to overtake at hill will need more power... the story here is that to compare my stock power and modded power. if stock i wouldn't have a chance to overtake a running car speed 170kmh at hill... with this setup i achieve hway 17.6 km/l, city 16.4 km/l combine 16.8 km/l |

wow so many new owners here. 2nd hand market for CRZ got demand yea?
As for mine, i've now been using 5w-30 semi syn from honda for about 20k already. no issues. for my first oil change i used 0w-20 but felt that the oil is too light for constant high revving. This post has been edited by be7a: Oct 21 2014, 11:35 AM |

QUOTE(civicspoon @ Oct 24 2014, 08:22 AM) guys, need ur help!!!!!! where to find good alignment shop for our CRZ? coz i've been looking in the net there is no forum to discuss this...other cars discussed it. so its about time us to review tyre shop out there... crz alignment is the same as any other car's alignment. this could help others to get a really quality alignment n balancing without get pancung or cheated by the tyre shop... sifus thanks in advance.... so any good tyre shop that you see with other car forum should be good too just dont touch the camber settings edit: unless you changed rims and shocks This post has been edited by be7a: Oct 24 2014, 03:26 PM |

there are 2 brake fluid reservoirs in the CRZ. one big one on the left side of the car and another one near the horn which is a smaller one. Any idea what the smaller one is for?
does the car's power steering use hydraulic fluid? |

QUOTE(Nitrous @ Oct 28 2014, 11:48 AM) There is only 1 brake reservoir for CRZ, which is located on the left side if you are facing the engine bay. The other smaller one, closer to the air intake box, is the clutch pump reservoir. ahhh clutch pump reservoir. i seeCRZ does not use hydralic fluid for power steering, it uses EPS. is it normal that my reservoir has fluid only halfway in between the MIN and MAX levels? |

QUOTE(kenJi2788 @ Oct 28 2014, 01:26 PM) Hi bro, so your Z is used unit if I'm correct? suggest you make a trip to honda service centre and ask about the car nicely with the plate number. They have service records and also most importantly if the car has been in an accident and sent back to honda for repairs there are records. if settle outside then cannot tell la of course. If I am correct may I ask you how do you manage to get the service history and all those details of the car? The car dealer will provide the info or we need to check with Honda? Sorry for the noob questions! Because I am getting an used Pre FL 6MT Z, need to do some homework before I made my final decision... first car mah also the warranty status. PreFL will have 3 on car and 5 on battery FL will have 5 on car and 8 on battery |

QUOTE(kenJi2788 @ Oct 29 2014, 12:37 AM) thanks guys for the info! so far i have not heard of the IMA motor failing at all. Let's put it this way. Honda does not require any type of service to the IMA motor at all. It is treated as a non-wear and tear item. There is no guideline for service and no guideline for end of life. One last question, after I get the CR-Z if really sueh-sueh the IMA got problem... since i am getting the used CR-Z, battery warranty period left 2-3 years i assumed. put aside the warranty first.. how much would it cost to replace the whole IMA system? Actually I did call the Honda service center they told me it's around RM20k++ for the whole new IMA. And I am so struggle when I heard that. But I really love CR-Z.. how hais. Discuss with my parent just now since they want to sponsor the downpayment of the car, they ask me to take brand new City instead. damn. As far as i can tell, as long as you dont do any wiring mods at all to the car, which can affect voltage, you should be fine. the only way i can think of the IMA failing is if you get into a really bad accident. touchwood that wont happen, even if it does theres insurance. besides, if you really are so suey, and the motor did die, why waste 20k on a replacement IMA system. just go k20a. QUOTE(Omnipotent @ Oct 29 2014, 03:11 PM) you might want to re-check. Mine preFL, i received a letter extending my battery warranty to 8 yrs starting from the date of purchase. oh is it? then i dont know cause mine is FL so it comes as standard 5 year on car and 8 on battery |

QUOTE(DKL @ Dec 30 2014, 11:24 AM) Hi frens, that smell is your cabin carbon filter. Just bought 2nd hand CRZ months back. Lately, whenever I start my car, bad stench will come out from the aircond. What could be the cause of this? Also normally do u fill up the water tank by urself? If yes, what is the best ratio (coolant vs water) or type of water to use? Some frens suggest distilled water, some said battery water, some said bring back to SC. Would appreciate ur expertise advise here. after a while the smell in mine went away by itself. |
