Playback How to play .AVI file ?, having problem to play movie

|
i using windows 2000, installed windows media player 7, realplayer, quicktime but still cant play my video. AVI - actually is a movie file i downloaded. i dun have a cd rom in this pc, what program i should add/install or what codec i need to play the movie? what i should do then? plz post the link if u guys have as well, thankz ya !

try use VLC instaed. maybe it can play the movie. cause sometimes .avi file cant be played by those program you had mentioned. or either way your video is corrupted

windows media player 7?? isnt that old version??? shoold updated it to wm9 ? or use windows media player classsic media player classic

VLC is a lousy player, try this instead.... Install this first. http://www.codecpack.com/Then install this http://gom.ipop.co.kr/release/down.html?intSeq=166There, you have all the codecs and a pretty good player..

do u guys have a kind of media player can play all types of videos file? instead of windows media player, realplayer and quicktime? i think there must have a some kind of a program can run all in one....

If u tired of installing tons of codecs, get VLC media player  Moreover, if your media file is in cue/bin, i think the only player can playback that format is VLC

ppl these days r using ffdshow w/ internal libraries + media file splitter + media player classic the only downside of ffdshow is unable to decode Real n Apple formats

U can get various skins for VLC too, such as Itunes skin!
