QUOTE(yok70 @ Aug 12 2014, 02:19 PM) Ya Apple. my 85.... Ok..help me to understand. Do you want to BUY more at 85 or were you afraid that it may slide to 85? Regarding China smartphone companies competition....I think one major thing is that Apple is not just a smartphone maker, it's a high-tech-solution. That's the future, not yet happening though. But I see this future pretty clear on Apple. Besides, Apple represents premium products, where China companies all goes for mid to low end products. Samsung is the one with highest risk here, and they have no software platform to backup their market shares, such as Xiaomi. Apple's iTune has been highly undervalued, very very highly, my opinion. Their upcoming "iPayment" will be huge, which some of China's big sharks are doing already, ie. Tencent. IMO, don't worry about competitors sneaking up to AAPL. AAPL is its own beast. Everything that the chinese competitors (eg. Xiaomi) are doing are just copy cat.. funny how their CEO presented their stuff just like good old S.Jobs. There will be new cycle of buys or refresh when the new iPhone6 launch. That's what the fan boys are waiting for. These fanboys got lots of money.. they'll be happy to caulk up another 50bln worth of sales for AAPL next quarter. The thing to watch for is how AAPL trade up to the event... if goes up now, it will be sold off later. If stay low now, then usually will explode up after event launch. I don't own any AAPL products now.. but my wife and kids want the next iPhones. I told them depends how much money AAPL stocks make, only then I'll get them the next iPhones. AAPL at the top of the channel again... I don't think I will see it to drop to 90 before the iPhone6 launching date. Just keep move the short PUTs up here (now at 95).. every week. Collecting premiums for it. |

QUOTE(netmask8 @ Aug 16 2014, 12:11 AM) IMHO, should be normal correction, as major economic datas shown that USA is on recovering mode.. Be careful.."holding power" is also the same thing as being a Bag Holder.Otherwise, FED will not reduce the money-printing, America recovered many employment jobs for its ppl, and FED aim for interest rate hike next year.. For more than 30 months, I did not see any corrections so far? Advice me if i'm wrong.. Hence, 10 - 20% correction from peak record is a healthy for long run bull. How many times DJIA, Nasdaq + SnP500 break records? Remember that in year 2013, we got awesome almost 30% upstream in a single year.. Buy on opportunities with important holding power is the ultimate key for better ROI. All the best. The bag can become pretty heavy when bears are in there. |

Need a stronger volume to break up that 2000 number.. if it fails again.. kaboom........ maybe we can see 200ma (now at 1860)... This post has been edited by danmooncake: Aug 19 2014, 11:11 AM |

QUOTE(rjb123 @ Aug 25 2014, 12:02 AM) Because my income isn't in RM, so if I'm going to invest in USD it doesn't make any sense to convert to RM then back again Yup! Agree. Everytime you convert between RM and USD, the price spread will also eat in your earnings. So, better stay in USD unless you really need to money (in Ringgit) to spend it locally. |

QUOTE(MNet @ Aug 26 2014, 08:44 AM) can we convert the RM to USD at non bank currency exchanger, then take the USD to bank to ask them wire the USD? The problem is the very moment you exchange RM-to-USD, either at non-bank or bank, same thing.Price spread between BUY/SELL is always there.. usually around 2-3% already. Doesn't matter if you wire it off or stay in local account. The money changer always wants to their fees and they earn it with the price spread of buy/sell rate. |

QUOTE(yok70 @ Sep 3 2014, 11:22 PM) AAPL now is in the price for perfection again. Let see how it goes. Just one more week till launch. It is good for AAPL to continue to climb up to 105-110+ level... then SELL-the-News event will become even more reality. Then, all the fan "bullish" boys are in! Wham! Everyone rushes to exit the trade, this will be a very good bear trade! This post has been edited by danmooncake: Sep 4 2014, 01:01 AM |
