FB is crazy. If I bought it, I'd have sold it now. I don't know how to calculate a TP on this one, really. Anyway, happy for you! USA Stock Discussion v5, Investment,Trader,Financial Ratios,HUAT?

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Dec 25 2013, 01:21 AM) TWTR = stay long (no saying how high it will go). master, how do you see Apple? TSLA = ok so far but I see upside limited to 180'ish ~ Not sure which shipping stock you're refering to, give us some examples. FB = continue to stay long as well but I won't not put new money here. Wait for pull back to 54/54 area. |

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Dec 25 2013, 01:56 AM) I think $600 will be here by Jan earnings. So, I'm long since that last dip to 538, remembered? ya i remembered. i bought some at 544 a day later. So, I'm staying long and just sell some lower strike PUTs and covered calls to make extra money while I wait. now thinking to add more....so unsure should do it now or wait for correction. From the graph, it seems correction may only pressed down to around 550 area, unless the bull back off for a little longer from here. On the other hand, if it reach 600 before correction, the following correction may get quite hard to fall until 550.....probably only at 570 area, which is even higher than today's price. QUOTE(danmooncake @ Dec 26 2013, 09:42 AM) Btw, if you hold enough AAPL shares (at least 10), you can also sell weekly covered calls to make some money while you wait. The only thing is if it gets taken away (if it hits the strike price by every Friday expiration), you almost have to buy back immediately if you want to own the shares. For these two weeks (holiday seasons), it is the best time to sell some slightly out of money calls because the trading days are short (in your favor). ya i got more than 10 shares. everyone on holiday mood this week, my wild guess is downtrend more likely before new year. After new year, probably uptrend will come back. |

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Dec 31 2013, 12:32 AM) IMO, trading ETF is better as it is broader based index to see how healthy is the market in China. In the past 2-3 years, it basically been flat. nah, no well known China company listing here. All PE 1-2x one. You probably need to ask the folks who actively trading in Bursa to see if there is any well known China company listing in Bursa or not. I'm sure there are but the last few years been quite a few of pump and dump by the Chinese pirate ship in local market making investors shy away from China based company. I love to trade cimbc25, been trading it probably 10 times by now. So I ride it through HK market mostly on small to mid cap stocks + the cimbc25 ETF to cover blue chips stocks. |

Apple closed at 541.
Looks like it is still on its way for correction before the quarter report out end of the month. I am looking at 525-530 area.... |

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Jan 4 2014, 07:52 AM) If you think about this carefully, you will know it isn't worth your time and money to keep buying US stocks in MYR (Ringgit) terms. It makes no sense to give the money (the spread between the BUY/SELL exchange rate) to the bank and furthermore, your trade ($35/trade) is VERY high. For that fee, it is as if you call your human broker to trade by telephone instead of you doing the trade via computer. Are you talking to a human being that offer you better service? If not, why are you paying that rate if everyone else trading US stocks and paying less than $10 per trade? RM dropped about 13% from recent peak! So, just keep your money in US brokerage account and let it continue to grow until you earn enough. No need to withdraw until you really need it. I got more liquid cash in USD than in Ringgit. Last year, I was thinking USD may go down because Fed printing money.. hoping I can convert more to it cheaper, but heck, my pile of USD appreciated even more than Ringgit after the tapering fear, and the Ringgit got weaker.. |

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Jan 7 2014, 01:31 AM) Phew! Lucky covered 535. 50ma support is here. Saved my butt. ya it's around the middle now. I'll keep the long side with covered calls to play and let see how it plays out by end of this week. Anyway, took a small position in FB at 54.50. I like it here at the middle of the band. I thought it's the most difficult to play while in the middle? can either up or down also easily. |
