Hi Guys,

When you guys park your Alza and get down, do you hear some dripping noise? Sound like water drip on some thin metal? maybe exhaust pipe? It stop after a while, so i would think is the air cond water?

Any idea guys?

thanks.
*
its the exhaust pipe metal contraction sound, once you get down from the car.

the sounds like "tak tak tak tak tak" for few minutes until it cool down.

drive for another months, the sound should be gone then.

my front right axle got kerong kerong kerong sound when going through minor uneven road.

complained since last year.

so this time dismantle the absorber, guess what, absorber KO already. doh.gif

claim 1 RHS absorber, together with top and bottom rubber, and absorber mounting too.

spring use back.

Hi guys,

I want to ask, those who added extra piping to the air cond water pipe, where do you guys do it? Taman bahagia perodua told we there is no such component for alza?

thanks.
*
do it at p2 sc.

cost me rm15.

if you free enough, go spareparts shop cut 6mm hose 1ft length cost rm3-5 only, then change yourself.

it's just plug and play blush.gif

nowdays the Alza battery really kenot tahan lama. Yesterday mine koyak after driving for 8 months and above 20k km mileage, warranty habis. Make me stranded. The Perodua smart assist offer me to tow to the nearest SC and i told them no cause if i buy another new battery from SC, after 20k km warranty habis, i must be damm stupid. I might as well get from outside at least 1 year warranty despite mileage travelled. And 1 week ago, when I serviced the car, the report actually says battery in good condition.
So for those new car owners less than 1 year, make sure check baik baik the battery when you are close to 4th service.
*
touch wood mine 16months 40k km still kicking laugh.gif

jangan besok pagi tak boleh start oii

but i will change to NS60L, bigger battery better la icon_rolleyes.gif

NS60L for alza will be nice.
i think the battery mounting need to be change if you were to go for NS60L battery? Is it? and the terminal clamps are the same? i remember ppl told me that battery clamp size are different for different rating batteries. Is it so?
*
i've check.

just remove the base ( mounting ) will do.

terminal no problems, just to make sure its same position for +ve and -ve, the other is to make sure big and small head same size. laugh.gif

ok, if remove the mounting, will the battery able to sit properly ah?
is it the noise something similiar to metal ticking? old iswara and wira tend to have those ticking noise. should be something like engine knocking / pinging? try to reproduce the noise and highllight to SC, and see how it develops.
What petrol you pumping now? I was driving a manual saga BLM, the ticking noise is more obvious when i pump Petron, when i switch to Shell, the ticking noise become much more lesser. Just my 2 cents though.
*
apparently it can.

otherwise, just wait me change ns60 then post here lol

going for 1k service tmr, so far my FC is 9L/100km full city drive in Penang.

9L/100KM seems about right for penang drive.

expect the fc to stay for another 3years.

Hi guys, understand that previous gen Alza have some issue with GB and noise when crusing at highway, would like to know does it solve in FL version?

Plan to get 1 for myself in the future..  blush.gif  blush.gif

Appreciate if the Alza owner here can help me to answer my question below:

1. Which year of Alza you owned?
2. How is the FC? (Mostly you use in city or highway?)
3. When cruising 120-140km/h, how is the Handling and Engine? (Will you feel like flying in the sky or engine going to boom at 140km/h?)
4. Going uphill, how is it? Let say Genting?? compare with myvi 1.3?? (2-4 passenger)
5. Durability? Any major service like Engine/GB/Generator/Aircond/Suspension.... (Not on wear and Tear parts)
6. Service expensive?
7. If you given a choice, will you own Alza again? with the price range..

Sekian..
*
1. year 2013
2. RM0.12/KM ( 100% highway - KL to Ipoh )
- RM0.15/KM ( 50%city,50%highway -jalan ampang to cyberjaya via MEX)
- RM0.20/KM ( 100% city, jalan tun razak, jalan ampang, jalan raja chulan, jalan sultan ismail, jalan kuching, jalan ipoh, jalan kepong)
3. engine is fine, if 1person driving, floating like boat, if 5 male adult, feels more stable laugh.gif
4. Genting ? ptuiiii laugh.gif not to mention 2 - 4 adult male passenger , rev 5k rpm @ 20kmh top speed, more than that = overheat / engine explode laugh.gif
5. changed front right absorber within 30K KM ( under warranty, foc )
6. consider cheap, please refer perodua website for service price list
- tips, certain items consider expensive, buy outside better ( EXAMPLE : AIR FILTER cool2.gif )
7. yes, i will, cheapest, spacious, comfort, reasonable daily car to have

Thanks for your review.. Seem like it much fit my requirement.. The FC not that bad as a MPV car..

When I sat in my friend Saga 1.3, his car cruise at 120km/h the engine already sound like kena tahan.
I was impress when you guys said 140km/h (Not more than that) on Alza, the engine still ok..
If added racing struct bar, will the handling better at 140km/h??

Seem like the only issue is going uphill..
Darkdevil, if only with 1 adult passenger, will you still find hard to going up genting?
*
rule of thumb for FC :

[RM10 for 40km for 200% jam]
[RM10 for 50km for 100% jam]
[RM10 for 60km for 50% jam]
[RM10 for 70km for 0% jam / highway]

i can conclude only issue is also only about uphill, especially GENTING.

if 1 adult passenger compared with viva or axia, ALZA still loose behind laugh.gif

the new batch Axia genting uphill the power really impressive, can maintain 60 to 80kmh.

as a summary of my personal experience for genting uphill based on standard engine no MOD whatsoever:

Perodua Alza : 20 to 40kmh peak power
Perodua Viva : 40 to 60kmh peak power
Perodua Myvi : 50 to 70kmh peak power
Perodua Axia : 60 to 80kmh peak power shocking.gif

no joke.

i drove viva before go genting, cornering lose but pick up gear 3 rev 4k rpm the car still can go between 40 to 60kmh.

just service my Alza today @ 7th free service / 50k km

although it's free, but the engine oil price went up from rm86 to rm91 already sad.gif
and oil filter price reduce from rm12.95 to rm12.20 rclxub.gif

just notice my stock brake pad remain 30%, so lucky i bought last year stand by at my car already, so just change it on the spot.

* do bear in mind, 2013 and older using another model ( which im not sure which model )
* 2013 and newer include the NEW ALZA using this model as attached ( my old 2013 alza is same model with NEW ALZA )

Impressive Viva can win Alza with 1.0cc on Genting..  doh.gif  doh.gif
Hopefully this new 2015 Alza will getting better for uphill.. Btw, it dont really matter to me cause seldom I going Genting..

Just able to cruise normally at 140km/h will be good for me as I will travel alot outstation..

You change the brake pad yourself? Wont it void the warranty?
*
dont look down on small car laugh.gif

if u cruise 140kmh always for outstation, will recommend you get a Myvi, more free and easy, buy alza if you need that space.

new alza does not get better for genting uphill lolz, unless it engine upgrade 1.8 la laugh.gif

change brake pad wont void the warranty 1 ma doh.gif sweat.gif

change at P2SC

charge me labor only thumbup.gif

for toyo t1r i really don know
sorry i forget to give you the size i am using, ya i am using 195/55/15 it was way better than orginal silverstone 185/55/15 and lucky i have change it early before the tires broken, cz of one of my friend tires crack from the inside two month later i have changed my tires.

mine 2 years finish, for me i will advice not to use bendix maybe it was too hard, some how it make very sharp noise when braking and i have clean the brake pad once ord after around 2 month the sound back again. i was thinking to change to brembo but i have out of some budget so put it on waiting list and also the denso park plug... hehe...

mine have 2 layer sound proof on 4 door but the wind sound came in from the window side..
fully speaker changed to infinity component set also with a pioneer woofer power up with coucar 5 channel amp,
head unit pioneer double din
*
Mine almost two years.
That's y budgeting for Toyo now.
Brembo brake pad is not that expensive afterall.
Might be cheaper than bendix metal king titanium LOL.
I already resolve my ratting soun and wind sound by adding Mohawk 12" woofer

Thanks for the sharing... never know that M5 (not BMW M5) is so bad..my kumho considered much much better and satisfying without this kind of issue.

what to do

new alza comes with 185/55/15 Silverstone synergy M5.

dont get cheated with the thick thread, it's not working as it suppose to.

maybe the rubber compound is the hardest in the world, that's why eco, save fuel, zero friction resistance.

being price tag at RM130 for a new donuts, it almost mark the cheapest price in it range even on par with china / indonesia tyre

i think it meant for new car ( lower cost of production ) and to cater taxi driver ( waja / persona ).

now with my TOYO T1R, the confident of driving / layan corner is getting back again.

tongue.gif

price different RM100 with M5 shocking.gif

safety 1st mang

gonna change another two shitty m5 to toyo t1r very soon.

but budget tight sweat.gif
