I plan to buy 2nd hand Alza 1.5 Standard EZ year made 2013  direct owner.. RM44k worth to buy? Mileage 30,000+, still under warranty and the condition looks good. Any known issues for 2013 model? Thx

Just renew roadtax my alza premium 2012. Insurance value at 44k.

Test drive and check rattling issue. Other than that no big problem.

But if got extra moolah, go for premium spec. Got ABS and EBD, also better seat trimming

After few bump rattling again think need some soft material to absorb vibration between clip. Not really see sc how to open the shift plastic cover or test could try DIY n see

QUOTE(singk @ Sep 11 2015, 10:51 AM)
interesting! it should be same ECU for myvi 1.5 and alza due to the same engine and the output, at least the protocol is the same, you mod the protocol of the OBD reader?
*
Can't really say for sure right now for the Alza as I just tested it on the Viva and Avanza, didn't get back anything. I am 95% sure this should work without any mods for the Alza.

Interesting, would like to buy if you wanna commercialised it

Thanks, might do something once it's all worked out.

seems like proride pads last longer a bit albeit the cost is slightly higher?

Some Sifu told good break pad must use with the good disc as well, or else the disc pedal will be end up faster since the break bad contact and touching surface more sensitive

i agree to this. with good pad, it should come with good disk, vice versa. There's one time I was driving Saga BLM (manual), Ori brake rotor with Proton Ori pads (mintye brand), encounter brake fade when there is prolong braking down from Gohtong Jaya to Genting Sempah. have to drive slower and use engine braking to make the brake cool down to regain brake force.

The ori come with alza last 70k km. Others last around 50k km only including proride

Proride pad using slightly harder material will eat disc more than ori but less dust.

Me change brake pad at outside workshop. P2 sc asking rm179 for ori brake pad

Price for 1 set front brake pad

For whistling sound, check whether got small stone stuck at brake pad. Or maybe your brake pad thin already so that indicator clip touch disc while brake
