just bought an alza auto 1.5. non-ABS.
gear change smooth. spacious comfortable front seats. handling is good too.
but the brake really need an effort to stop when you're driving above 80. when u press also the car keeps on going until it slows down means you would have bang the car in front if they sudden stop on the highway. wonder if it's new car with new brake. overall car is good except for the brake and some clinking sound around the car's door metal and the noise insulation is very weak can hear very clearly the motor and car sound passby.

and the tyre is not well balanced, meaning you could have a tyre that is heavier than another fitted, if it's fitted same side front and rear it won't give you headache, if it fitted at different side i.e left and right, you gonna end up like misalignment.

i went to do tyre rotation and alignment checking, alignment is OK, just off a lil bit. After rotate the tyre, the steering veer to one side, then change back to old location, problem solved. tyre man say tyre weight not balanced.

well, it's tyre problem so perodua can easily walk away with it. in malaysia we don't have strong consumer association and NGO body like in other countries. Consumer in Malaysia is simply too easy to be ripped off. Well, local QC mentality is ok ok, ok la.... cincai ok adi.... issue come, "macam ni mia la...."

one of the reason on why car are so expensive in malaysia is due to the high margin by the car company, imagine they can easily slash a few Ks off on the RRP without hurting their income. a good example is Honda Grace in Japan and Honda City in Malaysia, Japan - 1.5 direct injection, top of the line, 4WD, RM78K by exchange rate; City Malaysia, 1.5 port injection, 2WD, Langkawi, selling for RM76K. Something not right, some math will tell the answer.

ofcoz, not to forget about the excise duty on the car as well, good thing when it is setup initially (to bring up local automotive), but what we see now it's not really helping. some party simply taking this as the advantage thus make the  build quality drop so much.

Yes, this explains one of the root cause is higher profit margin the auto company is having. Without any branding bias, i felt that Proton is more sincere by giving back the consumer the value by having continuous price down on their product, Perodua comparatively is more stingy, they value engineered your car, and the selling price the same. But still, Perodua repo is better than Proton, build quality, sometimes (or most of the time even maybe all the time) service is cheaper compare to Proton as well. No means of picking up any brand fight as this is my personal opinion, my house have 1 myvi, 1 alza KL and 1 Saga BLM, hence i kinda like able to compare these 3 cars in terms of many aspects.

How many years your Alza? Cabin Filter change?

My Alza almost 5 years in 1 month later. Changed Cabin filter 1 year once.
So far ok, just getting less cooler a bit this year. I said that is as this year, I noticed it needs some time to get cold.

During noon, I normally put Fan=3 and temperature about 6/10. (town drive).

Me also, me thought me the only one feel like that ha ha.  Maybe our weather now hotter than normal.

yep, and the bubble was like the "buih air liur". i not sure what the bubble related to but it indicate something presence in the system.
