you have a good FC reading bro.... the FC reading on my alza is hovering around 8.5L region, it went to 9.5L when i used it for daily town commute where there's jam (5km route that takes 20 - 30 minutes of commute), then drop back to 8.5L after highway drive.

How many year for your ride? How much on last time? is that lately just increase?

ALza FL May 2014, clocked 32k km til today, i believe it's most likely due to factors like traffic jam and colder air cond setting. hence the fc soars to 9.5L, after a trip on highway back to ipoh, it back to nominal 8.5L as it used to be, and then climbing up recently due to daily commute of stop go traffic... overall i would say it's normal.
A tip for you bro, if you wanna achieve fuel saving, make sure you drive above 70kph while cruising coz the shift lock kicks in ONLY above 70kph with not heavy throttle. I heard Mazda skyactiv drive able to achieve shift lock as low as 30kph, which is quite impressive. Hopefully upcoming gearboxes able to have earlier shift lock (kinda dream on judging by how toyota / daihatsu / perodua tech offerings, they might just slams in CVT instead.... laugh.gif ).

Brother thank for your advice ,base on experience if maintain rpm by 2.5k will pretty save patrol

thats true bro, i usually aim 2k rpm for 80kph hovering. well, if you driving auto FL, try observe whether is there any whining sound when you driving 90kph, by then the rpm was around 2.5k rpm, the whining sound as i mention is something similiar to the sound when the aircraft pick up for takeoff (the high pitch noise). I observe it when it's new, recently not much chance trying 90kph so no idea it's still there, but still (touch wood), the gearbox is functioning well. guess is some resonance within the gearbox maybe....
*
Bro, would the high pitch sound come from speaker? i encounter the similar sound on my myvi but after add in VS in head unit no more pitch sound already

hmmm.... unsure to be honest, IIRC i do switch off the radio and purposely slowly increase the speed from 80kph to 90kph, and then the sound comes, when i have the chance then i take the cap ayam VS cum voltmeter and plug it into the 12V AUX socket, to see whether any difference. now the tyre is getting old (harden) and roars like nobody's business when it passes rougher road surface. Maybe this able to cover up the whining noise (and this explainas why the noise is not so obvious now....  biggrin.gif )
*
Actually that is interference from electronic, when some electronic component not good on certain level of frequency noise will be generate. As there is always standby power from Haed unit or other electronic parts thus even switch off, noise still could be generate.

Is the FL Alza sound proofing better than the pre FL model?
*
Yes new FL is come with better sound proof, but dont expect too much, as poor workman ship and cheap plastic clip was used.
The rattling sound always will be occur and from any where until u identify. Some even happen due to part not clip in place

like this more dangerous right? it's like installing a foreign matter into your car :S
*
Nola, the ABS need to combine both electronic system and breaking system to work. If you need to install this system probably SC wont be assist, as some component is not there for the system. While if you migrate from similar type of car the whole system migrate not consider modify. The toyata system perhaps work better than stock alza abs

In layman term..

Abs system ensure your car got maximum control while braking    especially wet road.

Traction control system work while driving if it detect wheel slip, will cut off power to slip tyre.

If got electronic stability control system, it will take account all thing like wheel slip and steering angle to eliminate skid while cornering by correcting wheel rotation
*
Brother good definition abs wont make your break stronger it only effect under car lost control. While ebd under curtain force will stabilized you car make your car stop in shorter distance
