Hi I have read that bumi lot and bumi quota are two different things. I am currently looking into buying a subsale unit and the owner happen to be a bumi. I have enquired if it's possible for a non-bumi to purchase the house and I was told yes as it is a freehold property and no issue registering under my name at the land office. I would like to know if indeed the properties at sephira are bumi quota only. I'm not so convinced with the agents response. Thanks for any replies in advance.

I know the property at I&P AI is only bumi quota, thus no restriction for bumi owner to sell to non bumi.
Best is to get a copy of the land title, and see if there is any restriction stated in there. If no, meaning anyone can buy.

Emerald owner checking in..... smile.gif

Just a quick check, I've made my booking through cheque but it was issued directly to developer as opposed to lawyer. Is this correct? Cheque will be cleared in the next few days but S&P yet to sign.

Differs from my previous purchases, whereby cheque is issued to lawyer for payment of booking fee.

Anyone can shed  some light on this?

Not purchaser of Emerals, but booking cheque issue to developer is ok lah....same for my other purchase.

Cheque issue to lawyer normally if subsales, or developer havent got apdl yet thus issue cheque to lawyer as they cannot collect yet.
