Spent my two hours waiting at Malacca Island to get a sunset shot but end up with this due to a super cloudy sky!

I think the background is a little bit too messy and distracting.

oh wow, film photography.  The first picture i dun like the fact that one knee touching the frame and the other isnt. Also the background of both pic one and 2 i feel the change halfway is distracting (wall and shutters for eg).

Hahaha thank you for your comment, i will take more care for the composition. Shooting with a film camera really got many more steps to take care of until sometimes just forgot about the composition especially when those strangers are just posting there waiting for you. Before pressing the shutter of film camera i need to manual exposure, manual focusing, arrange the composition, manual rewind the film. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif With my nex 6 i just leave it at A mode and just concentrate on the composition. A totally different work flow so need some time to adapt. flex.gif

Interesting shot, didn't know that its possible  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

Hahaha, this is all luck. I just randomly walked out to my balcony and saw this. So I ran back to my room, grab my tripod and camera and took this shot. It happened so fast that I only manage to take one 30secs exposure. The next shot I capture, the cloud and light is no longer in this shape.

Hahahaha recently plan to sell my samyang 85mm and took some product shots. The set up is simple, just a piece of mahjong paper and a tripod. I took these shots with NEX-6 and Sony E 50mm f1.8 OSS. Please feel free to give some comment. (And I can use this chance to promote it here too, check it out here. tongue.gif )

Hahaha Thank you. It took me some time to figure out how to take the shot of a lens without showing yourself on the front elements. The technique is simple, just use a A4 size paper block yourself and you're done. Btw i purposely raise the white in post to cover the imperfection of a mahjong paper. If i didn't do so you might see some coffee stain on the background. Hahaha!

I'm recently went to Penang to internship for 3 months. Here's some photo i took during the 3 months. Do give some content for my photos. Thank you. ☺

user posted imageLight Rail by Zhi Yi Lim, on Flickr
I took this photo when going down from Penang Hill. That's a night full with haze. I can't see anything except the rail.

People thought I came Penang only for the food Although it's true, but i came here also for the scenery!

Went out at 6.30am during public holiday intended to take some sunrise photos, but it turned out to be a cloudy day.

user posted imageShips on Fire by Zhi Yi Lim, on Flickr
For several weekend the sky is cloudy and i don't get the chance to take some nice photo. Finally a proper sunrise with a flaming cloud! Does this look like the ship is on fire?

user posted imageBoats under the Sun by Zhi Yi Lim, on Flickr
I pass by this place every morning but never know that there are three boats lay beneath it. It is such a beautiful scene but little people ever realise.

user posted imageThe Lie by Zhi Yi Lim, on Flickr
The truth behind all the photo above: rubbish is lying everywhere and i have to carefully compose every photo to avoid them from appearing in my photo. Penang is a very beautiful place for photography enthusiasts, but I think it will be better if they can clean up the rubbish around the island.
