QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Dec 13 2013, 10:06 PM) I really wish I have the chance to visit this place! I am actually UTAR student but from KL campus. I always wish that kampar campus has the course I want so that i got the chance to take photos of the lake! Night shot of this particular place is extremely nice This post has been edited by zhiyilim: Dec 14 2013, 01:17 AM |

Spent my two hours waiting at Malacca Island to get a sunset shot but end up with this due to a super cloudy sky!

QUOTE(copperwire93 @ Dec 21 2013, 09:33 PM) I did some macro with a simple compact today, just to motivate my friend who is still with a compact but love photography. QUOTE(Baronic @ Mar 16 2014, 11:55 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « oh wow, film photography. The first picture i dun like the fact that one knee touching the frame and the other isnt. Also the background of both pic one and 2 i feel the change halfway is distracting (wall and shutters for eg). This post has been edited by zhiyilim: Mar 17 2014, 02:55 PM |

When the cloud is low enough, the light from twin towers illuminate and light up the sky.

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Sep 26 2014, 05:02 PM) Hahaha, this is all luck. I just randomly walked out to my balcony and saw this. So I ran back to my room, grab my tripod and camera and took this shot. It happened so fast that I only manage to take one 30secs exposure. The next shot I capture, the cloud and light is no longer in this shape.QUOTE(khaiandrew @ Sep 26 2014, 09:40 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Really nice shot This post has been edited by zhiyilim: Sep 27 2014, 12:52 AM |

Hahahaha recently plan to sell my samyang 85mm and took some product shots. The set up is simple, just a piece of mahjong paper and a tripod. I took these shots with NEX-6 and Sony E 50mm f1.8 OSS. Please feel free to give some comment. (And I can use this chance to promote it here too, check it out here.

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Oct 9 2014, 12:04 AM) Hahaha Thank you. It took me some time to figure out how to take the shot of a lens without showing yourself on the front elements. The technique is simple, just use a A4 size paper block yourself and you're done. Btw i purposely raise the white in post to cover the imperfection of a mahjong paper. If i didn't do so you might see some coffee stain on the background. Hahaha! |

I'm recently went to Penang to internship for 3 months. Here's some photo i took during the 3 months. Do give some content for my photos. Thank you. ☺
Light Rail by Zhi Yi Lim, on FlickrI took this photo when going down from Penang Hill. That's a night full with haze. I can't see anything except the rail. Lightrail 2 by Zhi Yi Lim, on FlickrPeople thought I came Penang only for the food Although it's true, but i came here also for the scenery! Penang Bridge at Blue Hour by Zhi Yi Lim, on FlickrThe starry bridge. Cloudy Day by Zhi Yi Lim, on FlickrWent out at 6.30am during public holiday intended to take some sunrise photos, but it turned out to be a cloudy day. Ships on Fire by Zhi Yi Lim, on FlickrFor several weekend the sky is cloudy and i don't get the chance to take some nice photo. Finally a proper sunrise with a flaming cloud! Does this look like the ship is on fire? Boats under the Sun by Zhi Yi Lim, on FlickrI pass by this place every morning but never know that there are three boats lay beneath it. It is such a beautiful scene but little people ever realise. The Lie by Zhi Yi Lim, on FlickrThe truth behind all the photo above: rubbish is lying everywhere and i have to carefully compose every photo to avoid them from appearing in my photo. Penang is a very beautiful place for photography enthusiasts, but I think it will be better if they can clean up the rubbish around the island. QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jan 2 2016, 06:24 PM) Thank you. Here's another photo i took during my intern. The Transition by Zhi Yi Lim, on FlickrWhenever I pass by my corridor every evening, this is what I see. The transition between golden hour and blue hour might just stay 5 minutes, but it is the best 5 minutes everyday. |
