Awesome!
Usually flash sync of 1/200 or 1/250 and low ISO values indicate usage of flash haha, just a guess haha laugh.gif
If no flash is used, then those are really good natural light shots~
Keep it up thumbup.gif

Actually that time I lazy to use M mode, so I just set scene mode to macro. Among the 3 only the ant pic I use M mode.

Mom, can i go out to play? by Leong Seng Chee, on Flickr

As i left my friends house, this lil fella in the neighbour's house ran to the gate, and sat there. He didn't bark, he didn't growl, nothing. But just sat there, and looked at me. I reached through the grills, and gave him a loving rub, before i left.

I like this. The dog looks sad, the colour tone also very sad and the dog being behind the bars just finishes up the whole picture. Only the rubber hose at the background is a bit distracting, but I didn't notice it at first.

Nice tone, but I think the sky is more interesting seeing that clouds. Also the biggest and closest rock seems to be cut from the frame. My eyes want to see it as the interest object if you would focus it on the ground more than the sky.

I really don't know how to judge whether a picture is good or not. At first glance, this picture looks very normal cuz there are many distractions in the background. But when I look at the father and daughter part, it really changed my mind. Very touching story and very soothing colours. The so called background distractions somehow adds to the story along, people look happy and kites flying around. In the end I really like this picture. notworthy.gif

in the end i removed the picture because there were too many duplicates of the same scene. Gf told me not to upload like this as it appears boring on my feed when there are so many of the same. Having had to choose, i chose the pregnant lady, looking distant while kids play in the background. i felt the composition was much better compared to the others.

I also like the pregnant lady pic. Yeah I agree with your gf, those pics make your photostream look ordinary if someone just takes a short glance at it.

Nice set of photos there mate!
I know its not easy to focus on the NEX-3n, so keep it up!  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

I would give the 1st photo a 10/10 if the bug's head was in focus, the color tone, composition and choice of subject is superb!
I love shots 4 and 5 too, very sharp  thumbup.gif
*
Thx smile.gif . I actually have another pic similar as the 1st pic except that the focus was on the shell instead of leaf (the head still wasn't in focus), but the composition not as good as this 1. I'll work that out later and see how it turns out. I better learn some focus stacking too hmm.gif
