Nice ones there man~
Love #2 and #4 especially  thumbup.gif

The bokeh in #1 is pretty bad though  tongue.gif

I see, maybe I have chosen wrong shade angle.

Did this recently, wanted some comments.

Besides the obvious PS mark due to lack of proficiency in tools, would like to hear some feedbacks.

Welcome welcome thumbup.gif
Yeah, some people don't share their settings and trade secrets haha, can't do anything about that haha
As for indoor shooting, it will be hard using just the kitlens, still, its not impossible if you know what you are doing. For example, you can try to position your subject closer to a light source; or you can simply use spot metering to get an "artistic" shot (not all photos have to be properly exposed)
Take a look here, it may be a very long video, but its one of the best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2nNxaBA6ss

Nice try bro notworthy.gif
I think the model's pose could be more natural I guess, too "hard" already haha
The background is rather distracting as well. Could've picked a better background, or used lower F values?

Just my noob opinion, never tried things like this before  tongue.gif

Never tried before as well, input is much appreciated! Will try again.

Some cosplay picts:
Taken with NEX-6 and Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 D
+ Lightroom

One of the main advantage of NEX/a6k series, the flexibility to adapt.
Shot using Vivitar 135mm f/2.8
raw image, unedit, straight out of camera

Wah, yours damn nice man thumbup.gif
I like the high key shots though I think they are a little bit too bright laugh.gif
Great way of avoiding messy or irrelevant backgrounds during cosplay  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

Very nicely edited shot, love it  thumbup.gif

My noob comments:
- can try and make the light rays less uniform, so that it looks more natural; unless if you purposely wanted to make it look artificial
- can't really see what the model was doing, is that a handphone or mirror? Don't really get the meaning of the photo, unless again if you wanted it to be abstract in the 1st place haha
- The model should reveal a bit of the leg so that the whole thing doesn't look like a huge erection (Sorry for yellow-minded haha, but it does look like it laugh.gif). Its not easy to spot this kind of mistakes unless you thoroughly check your photo right after taking them; that way you can make the necessary corrections on-the-spot nod.gif

Just my 2 cents icon_rolleyes.gif
Again, great photo, I doubt I can take and edit shots like this  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

Much insights and greatly appreciated. Will take note and prevent the awkwardness in the future.
The model was actually holding a feather, bad lighting I guess :v
Others I have noted is should make the ribbon and dress more lively hence showing the leg as well, and proper sense of "levitation".
The light rays and background tone should be fixed too.

Great shot man hehe~
Can still see the Tokyo Street sign there laugh.gif
I think giving the background some more Gaussian Blur will greatly separate the model from the background  rclxms.gif

Interesting input, thanks for suggestion~ will try for next batch.
