Hi, do anyone know how much is it to replace approximity sensor? Mine just went kaput and out of warranty.

or go find a faulty phone. chances are the sensor is still in good condition. take out the module and replace your broken ones

From what I see here, to replace the approximity sensor would need the whole from panel or the motherboard swap...
I think I`ll use the power button as an option... but it really bugs me when I'll have to answer calls normally.  
Just got this phone in less than a week and sensor issues.

Located in Melaka, i called the Kelana Jaya service center. But the service rep told me to go there personally, so I don't think my location matters. The guy told me to get ready around RM 600 for everything. :S
Lelong there one of the guy offered the screen for slightly less than RM500 also.

Also, I'm not too familiar with the physical design of the Nexus 4. Is the Digitizer and the LCD screen together? I assume in my case only the digitizer needs to be replaced because my screen image is functioning normally.

when they glue the digitizer+screen+frame together it is not accurately aligned.

install supersu on paranoid android (on top of superuser) update binary with twrp method, then kabum.

Chinese phones  Oppo, One Plus, XiaoMi . All these offering flagship specs at half the price of Samsung/Sony/HTC. 

My N4 power button also unresponsive after i bought it for half a year..

sad news, my nexus 4 dropped into water at a beach, now kaput already

by the time i got home, some part were heavily corroded
tried to dry the phone, so i open and separating everything and let it dry.

then i put back on and still cannot turn on, when i connect the charger it shows the red ring of death.

Yea, its cheaper that way. Plus I'm so familiar with working around the phone parts already haha
Nexus 5 new set and 2nd hand still expensive for me. Waiting for the next price drop with new release of nexus. Bought a moto g for Rm500 already for current use. (2nd Hand 4 months old)

So I went to LG service center at Kelana Jaya to repair my broken screen. the cost for the parts is RM394, and RM30 for labor cost, for a total of RM424. No additional charge for me even though I'm using a US set. Only took 40 minutes to replace the screen.
