I used to be switch between Chrome > Dophin > Opera, these 3.

Stock is not capable to show H+. There is no icon for it.

If you are on stock ROM, to verify that you are on H+ network, go to Setting, status.

I usually just leave the screen until it Sleep by itself.

I am on stock 4.4.2, has no problem with the sandbox. I am suspecting some bad Web pages that constantly requesting to redraw (or plugin or something)... if u suspect any page like that, give me the URL. i will try it on my phone.

alternatively, try close all tab in Chrome. try monitor if there is any specific page that causing it.

also try (usually no needed), after minimise Chrome, click Task Manager and swipe it away when you done using Chrome.

See if battery improve?

Finally, change to AOSP browser. I heard it's pretty sleek.

Opera. Not the mini.

Not switch, but use between the three above I mentioned. I used Chrome the most, but certain feature lack of is not available when sometime I want to use. So just switch to Dophin.

I use Opera the less, but mostly use when I'm on Data, I can't recall the name which load the pages very fast without images.


Finally succesfully flashed CM11 M2.

I think Opera have some sort of data compression, you can try Chrome Beta. Way better than normal Chrome.

If same, try connect to PC through USB cable, remember to enable USB debugging option. Then try reboot through fastboot.

Try letting ur battery drain out and power on after few minutes of charging
