Google putting in ART in the developer option, and some of the users running phone with this mode feedback is good, but still got some incompatible issue. So, when is the good time to let phone run in this mode without compatibility issue? Will Google give official announcement for this?

Well, after using ART for couples of days and went back to Dalvik last night, I feel that in term of loading apps is much EVEN Faster than Dalvik. Of course, I'm not trying to say that Dalvik is slow, as we already using Pure Android, bloatware free, 2GB RAM of Android devices, so I can say that ART got a lot of improvement in the Future if Google implement this on Offical release.

Like example, Whatsapp, we all have a bunch of photo/msg(thousand or ten thousand more) in it. Loading my Whatsapp in Dalvik take like in between 1sec - 1.2sec; while in ART take like 0.2-0.4sec.

What make you go back to Dalvik since ART performance is much more better than it?

People here keep talking about ART while i'm still using Android 4.3,waiting for next PA update

Oh... Switching back to test between Dalvik & ART compabilities apps. Some of my apps crash during in ART, but I still not sure is ART cause the problem or the KitKat problem. So I went back to Dalvik to figure it out.

Most importantly, I can't play my Kingdom Rush in ART.

Google put it in developer setting, so it's for developer. It's still in testing phase, so some apps developer still not yet update their code to compatible with ART.
However I had yet to see significant performance increase from DalVik to ART, so I'm switch back to DalVik already. Custom ROM + Franco kernel + Qualcomm-optimized Dalvik + Bionic, as fast as ART.

Buying Nexus... Half developer... I guess most of Nexus user will activate developer option by tapping method... If you are not interested in it then you will not activate developer options tab. Use Nexus try it all...

Just curious ... did you measure it using a timer or something? Can you really perceive 0.2s?

my phone getting long time to charge...not sure is 4.4.2 matter or i rooted recently...

Yup , you can't ask them to change, warranty is only if there is fault only you can change. But you can always try to convince them it is faulty


No problem with whatsapp but got problem with MX player even not in ART mode. Currently running 4.4.2
