Bad battery drain in 4.4.2. I've noticed that GPS is really sucking my battery down.

Current ROM is this

Previously using Snapshot M1, now using cm-11-20131211-NIGHTLY-mako.zip. Hard to tell which is stable as daily driver, no worry as long you do a Nandroid backup.

Guys, I made a Nandroid from CWM(latest), so as I know that latest CWM backup after JB4.2 will be store into our Internal Memory which is not easily access, so I use Root Browser move it into my /sdcard so that I can plug my own USB cable and transfer to PC.

Question is, I can see the Nandroid in my phone /sdcard, not in the PC. Anyone know? hmm.gif

Guys,

Try to lock your screen rotation, then take a photo in portrait mode.

Does the picture rotate?

Edit : cleared camera cache, still the same. All my photos are in portrait mode, even when I rotate the phone to panorama mode.. rclxub.gif

It work on my 4.4.1 ART.
Trying now. Let you know later.

Edit: Take photo in Portrait, result photo in Portrait, Take photo in Landscape, result photo in Landscape. Done by using lockscreen with PIN on.
*
Hmm, google+ doesnt seem to be the cause

The cause is the auto rotate sleep.gif

If I turn on auto rotate, portrait comes out as landscape, landscape is okay

If i turn off auto rotate, landscape is okay, while portrait becomes landscape

Actually if under lockscreen, if you going from either (Portrait to Landscape / Landscape to Portrait), you won't see your user interface button rotating. But in actually the output photo do.

Something fishy with your sensor. hmm.gif Try to download Sensor box to text your sensors.

I have no such happen as yours, even with turn on auto rotate.

Rotation got problem liao sleep.gif

Tracing back, the ROM was okay.

Monitoring and see how it goes.

That was the last app I installed prior to these happenings.

Even after I uninstall, my soft buttons are still awesome whistling.gif

I use this:
[GAPPS][4.4.x/4.3.x] OFFICIAL 0-Day PA-GOOGLE APPS (All ROM's) [2013-12-15]

I just another bug on CM11 nightly, not sure is GApps issue or ROM issue. Recorded video cannot compiled into final output.

no. don't use any battery calibration tool. what it does is simply delete batterystats.bin, as described by the tool itself:

"Calibration needs to be done after flashing a new ROM, but you can calibrate any time you think your battery is miscalibrated. This program does it by removing the batterystats.bin system file."

this file will not affect your battery status, source:

https://plus.google.com/1050519857382802618...sts/FV3LVtdVxPT

so, no need to use any tool. simply drain your battery to 0. and full charge it back to calibrate. don't do this regulary. li-ion / pol life is shorten when you always drain to 0%.

Use Touch Control apps or custom kernel that support sweep2wake or double tap to wake... Or other apps eg. Auto screen on that use proximity sensor to turn on/off screen but it use more than battery power than TC
