I say this time and time again... Ferguson inherited a shitty team. Moyes inherited a defending champion.
*
to be fair imo, the team Moyes inherited wasnt the best united team. Fergie never solved the midfield problem ever since Keano left. United's success was primarily due to the Fergie effect and a testament to his managing quality, eking every ounce of performance from above average players. Now that the fergie effect is gone, we have to face the harsh reality that the team is weak.

Feckin Hell i am so devestated by this result. The way we played was unManchester United like, no passion no drive no flair. What irritates me more is that this is the exact same team that won the league last season and won it in style. This defeat is a reality check for United and how far we have fallen behind.

My Player Rating.

David "Donut" De Gea - 7/10 He did well throughout the game, nothing he can do to stop the ball from going in.

Rafael - 6/10 Rusty as hell. Needs game time and match fitness

Evans - 6/10 Meh

Vidic - 7/10 Typical Vida, gave everything he had.

Evra - 5/10 Bad header led to the goal. Did nothing today.

Phil "Greatest human Being Ever lived" Jones - 8.5/10 Excellent performance, showed heart and determination when others were invisible. Made
excellent tackles which kept us in the game.

Tom"WTF" Cleverly - 4/10 Extremely Average Player. Used to show potential and ability to move the ball. Showed none this season, a liability to the
                                                                            team.

Adnan Januzaj - 7/10 Made decent runs, showed a good footballing brain. Talent. Still raw needs time to grow and mature.

Luis " What the feck" Nani - 5.5/10 His lack of consistency continues to puzzle me. Has all the talent in the world but cant seem to translate it on the
pitch. if we can get him to play well consistently he will be immense this season.

Cheech - 11/10 Showed passion in getting penalty through diving, closed down the opponent , ran his socks of and dived like a dolphin. The closest united came to scoring a goal.

RV " transfer request?" P - 6.5/10 - Played some good passes, definitely not 100%. Rusty as feck.

One positive i can draw from our current crappy performance is that we can now see the plastic fans. Time to weed out the plastics.

The only 'world class' players in the squad is Wayne Rooney and Van Persie. The rest of the team are just mediocre/average players. Take the midfielders and wingers, good example of average players.

agreed... cant reckon a world class players in the midfield at the moment.

Im starting to feel there is a conspiracy against the manager. The players lacked passion/motivation and urgency. Let's hope it's not true.

Rio Ferdinand questions David Moyes's last-gasp team selection policy

Rio Ferdinand has questioned David Moyes's policy of selecting the Manchester United team close to kick-off, with the defender claiming it can turn him into a "madman" wondering if he has been chosen.

The 34-year-old suggested that Sir Alex Ferguson's policy of naming his XI well before the match made it easier for players to build the requisite intensity on match day.

"This manager's a bit different in that he doesn't name the team beforehand. You don't really get to know the team," Ferdinand told BT Sport. "The old manager used to give you a little bit of an idea if you'd be playing and stuff.

"When you know you're playing, the intensity goes up a little bit more on match day. That's what you need to try to make sure you're doing, even if you don't know you'll be playing – to try to get to that intensity you'd be at when you know you're playing.

"It's hard. It's hard to do that mentally because you spend a lot of nervous energy thinking: 'Am I playing' or 'Am I not playing?' and you're just going round in circles in your head and turning into a madman."

You sure you got it right? In 1989, it wasn't about the manager, it was about a weak team. In 2013, do you think Moyes has a weak team?  hmm.gif
*
To a degree. SAF worked his magic to drag this team to the title last season, but honestly speaking even then it has been well known that the team is weak in some areas. See our results in Europe the last 2 years? We have had stronger teams than this, for sure.

Part of the problem is fans keep on harping about this being a title winning squad, but they don't add on that SAF was what made the squad tick. Look at the squad, how many of them can you say are the best in their position in the entire league, let alone one of the best in Europe? De Gea, RvP, Rooney are probably the obvious ones that spring to mind immediately. You might be able to argue for Carrick and Rafael too. After that? SAF really worked his magic on the team to make it better than the sum of its parts, but now he is retired (and don't forget Scholes also retired).

You want to say DM isn't doing what SAF did? Definitely, agreed. SAF is a legend in the modern game for a reason.

Not even half the season gone after the biggest change the club has had in 27 years, and people are already reacting so harshly... I can understand being damn unhappy with the results, I'm angry too.. but hating on the manager so quickly.. sigh. Assume you get your wish and he is sacked, who would even replace him? And even if your dream manager was to come in, do you think a new manager wouldn't need time to settle in?

Transitional season is going to be brutal on everyone. Just hope our squad has better luck with injuries, that January brings good reinforcements, and that DM and his team learns fast.
