I find the F-Type Coupe more better looking than the cab one.

New Jaguar XE!!!!
http://www.jaguar.com/jaguar-range/xe.html Jaguar Press Release QUOTE Jaguar XE Confirmed as New Name for Premium Sports Sedan with State-of-the-Art ‘Ingenium’ Engine Family http://newsroom.jaguarlandrover.com/en-in/...40314/?&locus=1Geneva, 04 March 2014: Today Jaguar confirms that it will bring an all-new mid-size sports sedan to production; the Jaguar XE. Speaking at the Geneva Auto Show Dr Ralf Speth, Chief Executive Officer, Jaguar Land Rover, confirmed: "We announced just a few weeks ago that our new Engine Manufacturing Centre would produce a new family of premium, lightweight, low-friction, low emission four-cylinder petrol and diesel units. The first of our Ingenium engine range will be used in our all-new mid-sized Jaguar sports sedan. That car will be called the Jaguar XE, and it will be unveiled in production form later this year." The XE will be the first product from the new advanced aluminium architecture which was showcased in the C-X17 concept car in 2013. Its global rollout will begin in 2015, and it will be the first aluminium monocoque vehicle in the segment. It brings our customers all the benefits of aluminium: lightness and stiffness for unbeatable handling, performance, refinement and efficiency. The new engine and aluminium chassis complement each other perfectly. Power will be provided by engines with a wide range of capacities and output, all delivering inspirational performance and offering the latest innovations in fuel-efficient technologies without sacrificing drivability. Utilising the most flexible engine architecture ever produced by Jaguar Land Rover, with an advanced design configured to suit in-line and transverse installations for rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, the new engines will be both efficient and powerful - including top speeds of over 300km/h (186mph), and emissions lower than 100g of CO2 per km. Kevin Stride, Jaguar's Vehicle Line Director for XE, said: "The engineering development of the XE has focused on delivering customers with the most advanced, efficient and refined sports sedan in its class. We are excited about our progress to date and are looking forward to soon being able to demonstrate what we have achieved." Ian Callum, Director of Design, said: "The new Jaguar XE is every bit a modern Jaguar; more compact in size but visually striking. Customers will expect a great deal from a mid-size Jaguar - it must be practical but premium. We never forget we are designing a Jaguar and that means it must be as exciting to look at and drive as it is brilliant to run and practical to own. We believe we've done just that with the Jaguar XE." The name of the Jaguar XE follows a logical progression, positioned alongside the XF and XJ saloons in the range. Full XE technical and range details will be announced later in 2014. The global roll-out will begin from mid-2015. QUOTE Jaguar XE details source: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/news/138785/new-...ou-need-to-knowThe new Jaguar XE will fit into the vacant slot left by the Jaguar X Type, which Jaguar stopped building in 2009. The Jaguar XE will get a new look that is much more in keeping with the current line-up, although the car will get its own unique character. Ian Callum, Jaguar's director of design, said: “The new Jaguar XE is every bit a modern Jaguar; more compact in size but visually striking. Customers will expect a great deal from a mid-size Jaguar – it must be practical but premium. We never forget we are designing a Jaguar and that means it must be as exciting to look at and drive as it is brilliant to run and practical to own. We believe we’ve done just that with the Jaguar XE.” Read more: New Jaguar XE: all you need to know | Carbuyer http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/news/138785/new-...w#ixzz2vldMyf7e Follow us: @CarbuyerUK on Twitter | CarbuyerUK on Facebook This post has been edited by antonio: Mar 13 2014, 12:43 AM |

José Mourinho announced as first UK customer for new Jaguar F-TYPE Coupé
![]() The official UK launch of the new Jaguar F-TYPE Coupé will take place tomorrow evening at Eastwinter Garden in Canary Wharf, London. At the event hosted by Jaguar Land Rover Managing Director Jeremy Hicks, an audience including prospective customers, Jaguar brand ambassadors and British media will see the stunning new sports car from Jaguar presented by Design Director Ian Callum. An additional highlight of the evening will be the appearance of new Jaguar ambassador José Mourinho. José will be the first customer in the UK to receive a new F-TYPE Coupé when deliveries begin late in March this year. Jaguar Land Rover UK Managing Director Jeremy Hicks said: "I am really excited to be officially presenting the new F-TYPE Coupé in the UK for the first time. This sports car is as important to the Jaguar brand as it is spectacular to drive. "Jaguar is a brand with great momentum, launching many exciting new products. We are developing a new advanced aluminum architecture that will be the basis of a range of highly efficient, yet high performance sports and luxury Jaguar cars in future. We now employ more than 26,000 people in the UK across Jaguar Land Rover. These are all positive signs for our business, our people and our customers. "With the F-TYPE Coupé, our designers and engineers have created the ultimate expression of Jaguar DNA; beautiful design combined with immense dynamic performance. I am sure all our customers will be as excited as our new ambassador José Mourinho at the prospect of driving the new F-TYPE Coupé." The F-TYPE Coupé UK debut will open with an exclusive screening of the dramatic new Jaguar 'Rendezvous' advert, directed by Oscar-winner Tom Hooper and starring Sir Ben Kingsley, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Strong. The advert is the latest offering in Jaguar's 'British Villains' campaign which began with the introduction of the F-TYPE Coupé in November 2013, and made its world premiere during the coveted advertising slot in the Super Bowl XLVIII North America broadcast interval. Having now received more than 11 million views online, the advertisement will hit television screens in the UK for the first time in April. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Hi anyone about the reliability of the X-Type? I notice there are 1 few versions sold here. The more affordable used ones are the 2.5 while the higher spec 2.1 which are later models with newer bumpers cost a bit more (RM110k and above).
Just need to know about the reliability and parts prices and servicing costs. Any known issues? Price wise, I am more keen on the older 2.5 but the 2.1 with its refreshed exterior and interior costs minimum double but looks real good. What's your take on these 2? |
