smile.gif received your cable this afternoon. Quite suprised that the package was so "well" protected! I had to cut through 1 layer of brown paper, 1 layer of plastic, 1 layer of paper box, 1 layer of cardboard box only i can see the cable sweat.gif Anyway the cable is very nicely built. Thanks a lot mate, gonna test it tonight.

smile.gif Some feedbacks as promised:

Setup:
EMU0404 and original analog breakout
Custom made dual 6.5mm mono male to 3.5mm stereo female (RM15)
PcWork's custom EMU0404 D9 to 6.5mm stereo female plug
6.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo female converter
Altec Lansing ATP3
Altec Lansing el-cheapo RM30 headphones
^ lolz, ultra low budget setup laugh.gif

Received the cable yesterday afternoon, and plugged it on my EMU card straightly after i reached home. Found that the screws of the D9 connector is too troublesome to screw it tight so i took our the thumb screw from the original EMU analog breakout cable and tried to replace it on PcWork's cable. No avail though coz it just won't fit.

Argh, never mind... just stick with the small screws then. And there it goes... i connect PcWork's cable to my 6.5mm to 3.5mm converter, and plugged in my headphones. Oh man... its really sucks! The bass was very muddy and the vocals were unclear. But then i never tried pairing this headphones with my EMU card as i don't have the proper breakout cable.

Next test is on my ATP3. First thing i notice... very obvious improvements! Bass is very tight and the vocals are clearer now. Moreover it manage to pick up a lot of details that i never heard before on those particular songs. I auditioned it in my room from 8pm to 11pm and still i was amaze with it thumbup.gif

Thanks man! Really appreciate this cable! But then... still funding for AegoM blush.gif

and brother, ur feedback scared me at first lah. when i read the "underlined" part i was like "  shocking.gif OMG, is tat i connect the wrong wire in the emu breakout..... shakehead.gif " and i almost click to pm you so that you send me the cable back. hehehe luckily.... u got happy experience with it afterthat... notworthy.gif

laugh.gif sorry ya man, but i was comparing the headphones with my atp3. That's why i commented that the headphones sucks so badly. Gonna ditch that headphones tonight tongue.gif

BTW. why u prefer 1/4" female? if u going to use with ATP3. is better to use a 3.5mm female straight away. as the converter might influence the sound a bit.
how ever. if you plan to buy Senheiser/grado  headphone. then big plug will suit you.
*
blink.gif why i didn't saw this paragraph before? If i get your cables just to hook it up with my ATP3 then i would have order a D9 to 3.5mm male. But then my future upgrades might not be using 3.5mm jacks. And 6.5mm is more common than 3.5mm in high-end speakers and headphones... so that explains my decision smile.gif

At first funding for Edifier R1900T3 bookshelves, then my new room don't have good placement for the bookshelves so tempted to get a pair of Philips HP1000 from Davis... but then i never like headphones so now eyeing on AegoM instead laugh.gif 6.5mm is more "universal" i guess laugh.gif

Bro i want one set! smile.gif And bro, is it possible to shorten it? (don't get angry! tongue.gif ) I just want to get a set of good cables to connect my future CDP to the LD2+ only; and the LD2+ will be on top/ beside of the CDP, so is it possible to keep the cables short?

will let u know.
but the price won't big different oh.. probally RM 10-RM 15 different..
the plugs take all the cost man.. =)
for what i tested, 1 M and 2 M don't really sound different.
except if u feel hard to manage. else i really recommend to take 2 M, it's most economic. then can use for other things next  time.

bro i would like to make some adjustments can?

I need a pair of RCA-RCA (4X Canare F-10 RCA plug, 4 Meter (2+2, total 4M) Canare L-4E6S StarQuad - RM 115), and also i'm wondering whether you can make a custom EMU breakout with coaxial output only?

hi yrh0413,
Saw your tag -- 1 m Canare LV-61S coaxial with Canare F-10 RCA
What do u use it for? Mind to share the performance?
*
as coaxial cable, and of course it won't sound as good as Pcwork's cable wink.gif
