Hi, I am new here and to LYN as well. Actually not new because I have been a phantom reader of this thread for several months, just newly registered. Through your posts I think I have developed a love-hate feeling towards the Pug although I haven't booked one. Love it since 407 and mainly because you fellows speak of it with so much respect and some adoration. But hate it for the unexplained minor problems experienced by some owners. Unexplained because dunno why it happened but relieved to know all cases are rectified.

Some years ago I was attracted to 407 - just purely aesthetics but look no further because I was happy with my Vios. Then I heard negative comments from friends (please note none of them own a Pug, not even now) so I flushed Pug out of my mind. This year, I get more serious about changing car, so went round window shopping - naturally Honda and Toyota was in the radar but I explored other makes Ford, Nissan, Mitsubishi. Most times I read reviews first before actual touch and feel - narrowed my search to Mitsubishi ASX the 2WD. Budget was 120k max. But didn't like the interior, so didn't pursue further.

Don't know why but was drawn back to Pug like some heartstring pulling.  So started reading again, hence following this thread. I am almost there - my choice is 408 NA Blue (mid-age comfort priority) but don't know why still holding back. Perhaps hoping someone here will push me over the cliff and shout "Just Do It" rclxm9.gif or waiting for that warning sign "STOP".

Good grief, really feel like old granny buying sports car  sad.gif

I was also like you. Maybe just age difference biggrin.gif I own a Vios. Using it for about 9yrs. Serve me well and did a good job at it too. I got my Pug during CNY this year. I did alot of research like yourself too. Test drive MANY cars. Even recond as well. To me, the decision was made coz of overall balance. I choose 408T Griffe coz it was to most well balance car of the lot. There are alot of cars out there that performance better, looks better, etc etc. But if you think about it, RM128k, it is really helping you stretch your dollars. Fact is, i am driving a continental car (brand new) at that price. It may not score 8-9/10 in one particular category, such as resale value, but when you combine all the categories, the final score would make 8-9/10. This is just my humble 2 cents and what was going through my mind when i made the decision.

Choice is yours mate. Go test drive more. Do like 3-4 drives a day in difference cars in your list.

THank you.

Mentally, I always think Total is better. Reality, they are the same, at least what i feel la. Sifus please dont frame me.
Been using Pretronas since 20k km service. Recently I did my 30k km, it cost me RM420, after privillage card discount. Pretonas lube.

Guys, remember to flash your privillage card. My recent visit was asking for the card before proceed to discount.

But i remember somewhere in this forum, someone said that the Petronas that SC using is not the recommended grade of 5W30. Can anyone verify? And also, member SKYjack said that ash content is lower if you use TOTAL.

So which is a better choice/performance/deal? Darn it.... rclxub.gif

Aiksss....W5W can fit our car? Which lights can be fitted? Because previously i bought a philips w5w because wanted to replace the side lamps. But after opening up, i found out that w5w is too small for the socket. The current side lamp size is p21/5w.

Can any sifus here advise?

Thank you.

Just a comment on the standard Griffe infotainment device. THe GPS sucks. THey using SpeedNavi. It is really damn teruk. Damn alot places not in the GPS and the updates for it is slow. I still use my phone to navigate.

I wonder if can change to others like Papago or something?

Agree. My bluetooth sync works perfectly except some bugs.
Usually built in GPS is sucks is  most car, my portable GPS works better.

Agreed. The built in gps in the griffe is damn lousy. SpeedNavi also no updates for it. Do you think is possible to buy/download another GPS like Papago, and then put the sim card back into the device?

Thank you.
