Guys, those who tried both total n syntium engine oil, which is better? Which can really last till 10k before you felt the car under power?

Thanks skyjack...
Early next month due 20k service but meter showing 12k only (now).. under utilized..haha
I’m thinking whether worth paying extra for total or not.. when i did my 10k service, i requested for total ..
Btw, should we just go to only one service center for service rather than once here, once there? Coz if any replacement or claim, that branch have a full record of your service..

Glenmarie is the most convenient for me, usually I'll book a month ahead.. After sending car, will ask them to drive me to office then later only come back to collect..

Dear All,

Just sharing some data on my fuel consumption.

The best is 208km 7.4l/100  94km/h.
The worst is 7km 29.6l/100 8km/h.

Long distance, low speed FC is very good.
Short distance, traffic jam,  FC is very very bad.

Bro, what application is that?

I saw that too. But just wondering, is it exactly the same engine? Or the internals had been changed?? What about GB?? Coz if is exactly same engine, means our car can be push to that bhp too. But can the GB take it? Coz i read in paultan previously, our AISIN GB can only take up to 300nm. But sure damn sedap lor to take our car all the way to the 200bhp and 280/300nm point.....~~NAISSSSSSSS...
jfcheong....Jangan la gb my car....kesian la...sakit tau....

SKYjack....you know what they say....Once you go black, you dont go back....Hahahahaha
*
For engine part believe that those piston rings need to change to accommodate the high torque n a totally different turbo mill which gives higher output..
GB not too sure is it the same unit...

Btw, guys who using the car Bluetooth for voice conversation, when on conversation, ppl outside can actually hear the other party voice n what he/she said clearly, you guys aware?

I was talking on the phone reaching home, then once parked at car porch, my wife can actually heard what the other party was saying even though she is few foot away from the car

Perhaps the volume  of the audio system was high?
*
Erm, i would say enough to able to listen to what the other party was saying else it will be too soft to listen and unable to get what the other party was saying...

Just done my 20K service at Glenmarie today.. Total damage 453.70, using Synthium..
Complaint that my third brake lights got 1 side not working, they replaced the whole third brake light for me..

Been driving this car for so long, now only found out this feature on the player:
Press "ok" while playing MP3, den can select either repeat the selected track or shuffle the whole album.
Just sharing...
*
Their shuffle feature is terrible, the same old song will repeat after few songs later...

anyone noticed that his or her 408 has lower FC due to the recent haze spell?

mine has 5-10% lesser mileage per liter sad.gif
*
Seems to be due to hot weather.. during hot weather you will feel the car like underpower.. thus higher fuel consumption..

Hey guys,

Maybe it's just that my car is still new (almost 1 month) but I found that it's very difficult to get it to go past 130kmh. It hits 130kmh fairly easily but after that it's like it's out of breath. The speed limiter is off and I was the only person in the car, no load, straight flat road after rain (air is cool...should be more power). After trying for a while it finally got past 130kmh and cruised up to 160kmh but no further. I was trying to hit 170kmh.. Any thoughts? I'm thinking it just needs some "coaxing" cos' I've been driving it real slow and easy brows.gif
*
Maybe your car still in safe mode?

Bro, you may check v1 forum https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2682291
When you go for 1st service, the service advisor will kinda ask whether you feel like sluggish or not, they will help to check whether your car in safe mode or not.. that's what the service advisor asked me when I sent for 1st inspection..

almost free

i had insurance coverage of RM2700, nasim mentioned something like RM28xx.

puchong sunway quoted FOC with el-cheapo tint, but i've opted for something better at RM200 extra.

if your windscreen is tinted, remember to buy coverage for that too.
*
Good to hear that.. Naza total cost at 3018.50 based my previous inquiry,2800 just the windscreen without labor n sealant.. How's the tint? Cuz insurance company required all in one receipt in order to approve the tint claim else they only approve the windscreen replacement
Bro, mind to share me the shop details cuz I might need it.. Mind still not replaced even with two spots

With the new 408, somehow i prefer the current 408 sold in Mysia. However i like the new 308 hatchback

Agreed, the new 408 is so not Peugeot.. There is no Peugeot character there..I think it's the Chinese that designed it, kinda uncle look
308 is superb.. European car of the year oh

It is a sad sad moment. After 3 months of owning my baby, it was damaged. I clip on top a metal bar which was jutting out from a pillar. Sighhhhhhh.....Anybody know where is good to do "knocking" and re-spray??? And how much the damage will be???

Damn sad....this damage plus rims scratch....Sighhhhh....My baby...
