Just chap brand LED, just make sure it is LED 1157 (if not wrong, double check with user manual) and small enough to fit into the hole.

Hey guys, I have a question on Brake Assist. How does it work exactly for this car? This morning I had a slow car suddenly pull up in front of me while I was in the fast lane and when I slammed the brakes, the car wouldn't rapidly slow down. It only started rapidly slowing down after 1 or 2 seconds. My heart almost stopped at that point. In the past with my older car, the moment I abruptly step on the brake paddle, the Brake Assist will kick in, the pedal gets stiff and the car rapidly slows down. Any thoughts before I complain to the SC?
*
Try check at SC, the brake system should be able to detect emergency brake applied. And the stiff brake should kick in. In my case, no issue, braked as hard as possible.
Another tips: whule apply emergency brake, try hard and deep press on brake pedal and release and full press again. It gives better brake performance and shorten the brake distance.

Thanks bro. That's what I thought it should be like. Another thing I noticed, my car has a humming/pinging noise at 90-95km/h and it sounds like it's coming from around the gear shifter area. The gearbox is also jerky at times and the car vibrates a bit when accelerating up hill. I'm guessing these are not normal too?
*
No such issue on my ride

Bro cwkhang, the beauty of this car is very dependent on electronics.
If no battery, you cant even lock your car. LOL.

Been there, tried that.
*
If u happen to keep ur jump start cable in ur boot, lagi good luck. U cant unlock ur boot as well... haha
u need to climb over in ur boot via ur folded back seat tongue.gif

Hi 408 owners.
Count me in. Have been driven a white 408NA for a month. Use to drive a silver Ford Focus 2.0 (sedan) for 5 years. Happy (very actually) with the lion that has taken me for 2100 km. Soon will go to Ipoh SC for 2.5k inspection. Thanks to all that have posted their knowledge, thoughts and experience in this online community of 408 as it has been one of my major references before decided to test drive the lion and finally bought one.

Previous gen Ford Focus is quite a rare in Malaysia
