The only thing you need to be concerned of is the product durability.

Other than that, is the workmanship.

I coat my own car, the coating last. There are so many semi-permanent coating liquid out in the market.

If they're really using Choose Nanotech DLS 9H coating, RM1200 is a steal. It would be RM3k or more around here....

I wouldn't say that. It could be legit cuz there was this one time when a salesman came over the detailing centre below my office and was selling the 50ml bottle of DLS 9H for RM270. So the coating itself isn't that expensive. It may just be that people here in Klang Valley are just inflating the prices for their coating jobs. And I also just got to know of a place that could do the Gzox Real Glass Coat for around RM1.5k ~ RM1.8k only.....

I use Dodo Juice Infinity Sealant and CQ UK.

Actually the standard coating would be that kind of prices, as they will need to do paint correction prior to apply the coating.
Paint correction is a tedious task that require patient and time.

worth, it makes your maintenance much more easier and protects it. but dont forget to maintain it after spending.

Uhm, this one is not glass coat. If is a real glass coat is cost more than 1k and at least 3-5 years of warranty. Yeah, but mostly coating doesnt cover warranty for watermark. Please do more research before spending.

How much is it? The salesman also did show me the sealant called nano something...rm120/100ml bottle. Expensive if it only can last for a few months....
The good side is you don't have to re-apply regularly like a wax or sealant...but, like ppl before me said, you'd still need to maintain regular and proper washing like normal. If you think you can maintain the passion of waxing your car regularly, might as well go for normal wax/sealant. These coatings aren't that easy to DIY and prep work (compounding/polishing) need to be tip top unless you dont mind sealing all those defects under it for a couple of years.

You'd also need to think about the claying, polishing, etc., i.e. the prep works before applying any wax/sealant/coating.

How about the feel?
Does coating give the same feeling as wax/sealant when touched?
I like smooth slippery feeling.

No need to wax every lah.
So free meh? LOL
Once a month is more than enough IMO.

if you can wash your car every week without fail with the proper way, your car will be in good condition already.

wax every 2-3 months assuming you done PROPER surface prep (bare minimum clay, polish if got defects/just want the ultimate shine)
1-2 months maybe if you ocd and/or the car is 24/7 outdoor under sun etc.

One thing to note.
You should get yourself a clay bar.
It can remove the above surface dirt so that the wax can bond properly to the paint and also helps to make the surface smooth.
