All materials are porous and contain microscopic peaks and valleys, much like the profile of a mountain range. These irregularities are known as capillary structures. On manufactured surfaces (including paints and coatings) there may be millions of these defects per square inch. Contaminants such as fine dirt, minerals, and pollutants are drawn into the voids where they are extremely hard to remove. Capillary structures also provide microbes and bacteria with an excellent place to grow and multiply.

The silicium particles of Permanon are laminar shaped, which means they overlap each other like the scales of a fish. These platelets are deposited on the capillary wall and closely follow the contour of its surface. These platelets will fill up to 90 percent of the capillary void, resulting in a surface that is smoother and more resistant to soiling. The overlapping of the platelets also reduces the permeability of the treated surface, making it virtually impossible for moisture and other reactive agents to migrate through the protected coating to the metal surface.

I’ve been testing this for about 8 months; when you apply it to a clean surface, that surface virtually takes on properties of hardened glass. It’s easy to clean, protects against UV light. What I like most about it is permeability control. When you spray it on a hard surface, it achieves a contact surface of 160 degrees and it virtually eliminates the transfer of moisture or other chemical compounds through the existing coating to the substrate.

In contrast, a hydrophilic surface is one that absorbs moisture. The potential of a surface to absorb or repel moisture is based on many factors, including: temperature, relative humidity, material homogeneity, and static electricity. Surface roughness is also a major factor; the rougher the surface, the higher the spreading rate or attraction for water. The smoother the surface, the more repellent it is to moisture.

"used to be using other glooming products. uses wax,polish,sealant but doesn't last more than a week especially after few pours of rain.

Was reading the vagsg forum one night and stumbled upon this thread. went to Stamford tyre and grab hold of the Brilliant shine and permaton package and result was immediate. even SO said car looks like more shine and more mirrored look.

"I have been a user of Permanon product for a few months already. I'm very happy with the product. Even washing rim with brake dust is easy but before that must apply with the Permanon and BrilliantShine. Couple of weeks back, I'm too sick to wash myself, so decided to wash at the petrol station. When the car washer spray the "snow" onto the whole car, to my surprise, the "snow" on the wind screen started to flow down. Followed, he started to clean the whole car then rinse with pail of water. Cos the car wash shampoo is different, it maybe a stronger agent, worry it may wash away the Permanon coating but it didn't.

I travel to KL quite frequent, at least once monthly or twice 3 monthly. The last time I went up North was mid of August. When I reached KL, I noticed there is a insect stain on the bumper area near the headlight. It rain everyday at KL. I've parked my ride underneath trees for 2 days. Rain & shine, the dirt & stain is so observe till I can write on it and the insect stain was wash off. Only managed to wash my ride a few days after I returned from KL cos due to work and rain. After washing, the ride is back to it's shine, to make it better, I used spray-on quick wax for even better shine. Remember, do not use Permanon product on top your current wax, the Permanon product will wash off together with the wax. You have to clay off everything then apply the Permanon and BrilliantShine then your current wax product in case you miss out.
As for wind screen, I don't really like to use wiper so I been using Rxxx-X for my previous ride and this current ride until I tried Permanon and BrilliantShine product. Below is my experience on both product I've tried :-
1- Application on both Rxxx-X and Permanon product.
For Rxxx-X, you need to apply a layer onto the glass and let it "cure" for a while then use a moist cloth to wipe off to give you a clear view. For Permanon, all you need is spray a thin layer onto the glass and wipe off with a clean cloth or rinse with clean water as per instruction.

2- Water repellent and juddering effect on both product.
For Rxxx-X, newly applied gave you superb effect on the water repellent (@ about 50 -60km/h) but after few days with or without rain, the effect of the repellent is not as good as newly applied. Need to drive till about 80 - 90km/h then the water started to flow, so when there is rain, you started to turn on the wiper. After a while, the wiper started to juddered. For Permanon, newly applied also gave you superb effect on the water repellent (@ about 40 -50km/h), as usual, the effect will not be as good as newly applied but no juddering on the wiper.
Above is my personal feedback about the product. Just my $0.000002 worth of feedback.

Using the Permanon is just a piece of cake! just follow the instructions told by Martin and you will be able to do it all by yourself.

Although Martin's explanations can be lengthy, but it certainly explains the whole idea of how Permanon works. he goes into great details on how you should do your ride and gives you real advices on what to do. He even called me twice after I left to warn me of certain things that I should not do! double thumbs up for the great service!

Look at my pictures, aren't they a solid prove that Permanon works? it's a simple and fuss-free gem that all car users should try! If you really doubt it's usefulness, I'm sure u can opt for the cheapest bottle to put all the testimonials here to test. I'm sure you will walk away from your car smiling after that.
