QUOTE(tabletman @ Jul 12 2014, 10:21 AM) Do you mean you have your own mining hardware hosted in a DC or you are using your company resources in a DC to perform mining? You should not misuse your company resources unless you have clear permission from your management. This post has been edited by sirxl: Jul 12 2014, 10:30 AM |

QUOTE(robotica @ Dec 5 2014, 11:11 AM) I was told by one knowledgeable financial analyst who is a speaker in a seminar I attended. He specifically said "DON'T TOUCH" that's why am asking you guys. I initially wanted to invest when it was if not mistaken around Rm2,000++ /BTC. When I heard that speaker warn us I terus uninstall all my BTC wallet....hihihi It's not illegal, see Btw after doing some findings I found this statement by Bank Negara it did not say illegal in a way but they say it's not a legal tender either so i "ASSUME" it's illegal and if they want to tangkap people maybe they can i "THINK" but most probably they won't do anything lah unless you are "BIG" fish Refer here : http://goo.gl/2b0njG Statement on Bitcoin The Bitcoin is not recognised as legal tender in Malaysia. The Central Bank does not regulate the operations of Bitcoin. The public is therefore advised to be cautious of the risks associated with the usage of such digital currency. Bank Negara Malaysia 2 January 2014 Last Updated Date : 05 November 2014 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_Bitcoin_by_country Taximonger accepts Bitcoin and http://bitcoinmalaysia.com/2014/11/01/taxi...accept-bitcoin/ so does IPmart, a large e-commerce company in Malaysia. http://www.coindesk.com/malaysian-online-r...-fiat-currency/ Please ask that financial analyst to contact me at admin@bitcoinmalaysia.com as he is spreading FUD. |

QUOTE(robotica @ Dec 5 2014, 12:09 PM) What is FUD? "Bitcoin" is a protocol.so sorry i cannot just simply quote ppl like that mah....it's within the seminar room only but there's about 100 attendee who heard his brief advice. he was just giving advice only so don target him lah....The real problem is if all these is in so call grey areas how can ones expect to invest heavily into it maybe for small payment ok lah...and for businesses accepting it without converting to currency is taking a very big risk. don't you think so? just my opinion "bitcoin" is a crypto currency. There are many arguments as to how governments treat bitcoin. US Tax Department treats it as "property". http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-03-25/b...m-irs-says.html Japan says it's a "digital recorded value". http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-12-03/m...n-startups.html Germany says it's private money. http://techcrunch.com/2013/08/19/germany-r...ax-coming-soon/ Switzerland is the best, https://yacuna.com/blog/bitcoin-currency-switzerland/ and http://www.news.admin.ch/NSBSubscriber/mes...ments/35361.pdf If merchants don't want to manage volatility risk, then they can instantly change it to MYR by using services at bitx.co or bips.me or coinpip. This are 3rd parties that absorb the MYR risk and merchants get back MYR after deducting the service fee. There are plenty of merchants facing fraud and chargebacks on credit card and paypal on a monthly basis and they are bleeding severely. So please do your due diligence before finding the best solution for your needs. This post has been edited by sirxl: Dec 5 2014, 01:13 PM |

FUD -> fear, uncertainty and doubt, usually evoked intentionally in order to put a competitor at a disadvantage.

1. Credit card fraud - Merchants are at the losing end for this type of losses. For users, they still have to pay a minimum amount subject to the bank's T&C.
2. I doubt your coins will be confiscated unless you knowingly indulge in illegal activities like Silk Road merchants. |
