ermmm since so many ppl interested in mining i will share a bit of what i know.
back then, ppl use computer to mine btc aka gpu mining. you need to setup, downloand mining software, etc etc. now btc is dominated by asec (hope i spell if correctly), these machines are damn efficient, low power big hasrate but its damn pricy and useless when newer version is out. due to these asec invaders, pc mining died off. why died off? because its easier to mine causes the hashrate increase, the more hashrate the higher the difficulties. in short, you will get less btc day by day with the same machine.
you can try to buy 2nd hand asec miner for cheaper price, but its totally not profitable unless you have free electricity.
i have been mining on and off for fun, but not really worth the time to monitor such small profit. but for the sake of learning and fun.

Yup, you're right! They're called ASICs (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits). These days, I hear that you won't even earn enough from mining to cover the electricity costs.

QUOTE(XkelvinchiaX @ Jan 5 2017, 12:39 AM) Its good time to invest BTC? anybody please advice. A good time to invest in BTC would have been back in 2009 when it was merely cents each. It's risen by more than 100% in 2016 alone. We're starting to see the beginning of a bull run now, so personally, I'd say yes, now would be a good time to get some bitcoins. This is just my personal opinion, and is not a recommendation to buy or sell.

its totally a gamble to invest in btc, 1 hack in major exchange will force down the btc value. it used to be 700usd in early 2016, then 1 btc exchange announce the have been hacked and it dip down to 500usd per btc... so now the rally up till 1000+btc.
as for btc mining, totally not worth it. cloud mining no comment since i never tried cloud mining. i prefer buying pc stuffs, build rig, setting etc etc....

Previously, you said you sell BTC? Where you get BTC? Every week I buy around RM20K in btc but all through Localbitcoins and they are quite expensive... Coinbox and Bitx down and the xbit asia volume quite low and process the deposits quite slowly.

QUOTE(Dead_Arrow @ Jan 5 2017, 03:03 PM) how you do mining? mind to share abit? huh me? im not mining BTC, im mining other coins and trade it into btc. if u wanna mine btc, just go import a asec miner. 2nd hand one might need to have free electricity in order to be profitable. if i have extra cash, i might wanna try out a ubs type btc miner just for the fun.
