I baru tried coinbox today. Quite fast. Deposit MYR from Maybank and get it on the website within 5 minutes.
Rate also quite good. No fees also.
But can't see the market recently executed trades, only the standing orders.
They have live chat customer support that answers within 15 minutes which is good.

I tried for quite long to register with bitX.. Their customer support left a really bad impression..
Only email CS, which can take from 1 day to 1 week for them to reply..
Can't even set up my account there properly since ask 1 question, then need wait up to 1 week for them to reply..
Been trying for 1 month dy, and still not done yet..
They have a phone number, I called them multiple times during their operation hours, and they never pick up..
So, I gave up bitX and went with Coinbox.

mate please take note when you create your account with coinbox, your user name must be the same as your bank account name. i kena once but lucky their support are extremely fast. one bad thing about coinbox is their 'delay' in bitcoin pricing (compared to poloneix) and maybe the min charge of RM5 or 1% for withdrawal.

What USD price do Malaysian traders normally follow?

Edit: Just checked with coinbox, they only charge MYR withdrawal 1%, which means as long as I don't withdraw MYR, it's totally free.
Not bad for me  drool.gif since I never withdraw MYR, only deposit MYR and buy BTC biggrin.gif
*
if you dont withdraw how are you going to relised your profit ? i normally ties the BTC to USD then RM with the exchange rate from my local bank. coinbox seems slower to reflect market (polonexi) price to me. but i cant complain since i need coinbox to deal directly RM into my account.

Malaysia ringgit value keep on susut.
BTC = profit for me biggrin.gif

Oh... I follow bitstamp.

Not sure what's your goal of using BTC, but mine is not investment..
I use BTC as a currency as it's was originally envisioned to be..
I think a lot of people look at BTC as some investment scheme, not as a currency.
*
btc is not very useful for most of us as not many place accept it. susut nilai or not... BTC is still much more variable than RM to me, i just play abit with it. $700 per btc can drop until $500++ per btc within days.... thats terrible to me smile.gif anyway, if you do not need to withdraw then you may wanna try it with btc, but i do know that there is small transaction cost moving btc around (because i transfer btc from poloneix to coinbox and i lost a small amount of btc).

Yes, I would like to know too.
The bitcoin price keeps going up and I can't buy because Bitx can no longer handle RM deposits...!
Anybody else has any safe and secure alternatives?
*
im using xbit asia currently, volume is quite low compared to coinbox.... hope coinbox can settle off their on going issues.

how would you rate xbit asia? how would you compare it to bitx?

tried coinhako before?

i am looking for alternatives since bitx has their problem lately.
*
never tried bitx before. if compare to coinbox, the volume is extremely low. coinhako very expensive for withdraw.

sorry but i am a noob, can u explain what do u mean by low volume? i just want to use bitcoin for payment not for trading
*
low volume means not many ppl selling or buying btc there. example if you wanna buy 50k worth of btc, you might not find thrm at the right price or no enough btc. maybe its still new i guess.

Their BitX accounts remain active, and all they have to do is to transfer their coins to another exchange if they wished to sell.
The only concern is that there aren't really that many exchanges in Malaysia that can deal with Ringgit withdrawals, like BitX, Coinbox, XBit Asia, etc.
If BNM suddenly decides to regulate this and create problems, then it will be impossible for Bitcoin holders in Malaysia to get back their money in cash withdrawals after selling.
You can still send your Bitcoins to other exchanges outside of Malaysia and sell them there, then transfer the money back via international telegraphic transfer, but then you'd have a whole different set of problems there as well.
*
yep, this is my nightmare as i have incoming BTC all the time. when i cant use coinbox, i started to consider all sort of method and ended up xbit asia with the lowest fee to withdraw MYR.

ermmm since so many ppl interested in mining i will share a bit of what i know.

back then, ppl use computer to mine btc aka gpu mining. you need to setup, downloand mining software, etc etc. now btc is dominated by asec (hope i spell if correctly), these machines are damn efficient, low power big hasrate but its damn pricy and useless when newer version is out. due to these asec invaders, pc mining died off. why died off? because its easier to mine causes the hashrate increase, the more hashrate the higher the difficulties. in short, you will get less btc day by day with the same machine.

you can try to buy 2nd hand asec miner for cheaper price, but its totally not profitable unless you have free electricity.

i have been mining on and off for fun, but not really worth the time to monitor such small profit. but for the sake of learning and fun.

its totally a gamble to invest in btc, 1 hack in major exchange will force down the btc value. it used to be 700usd in early 2016, then 1 btc exchange announce the have been hacked and it dip down to 500usd per btc... so now the rally up till 1000+btc.

as for btc mining, totally not worth it. cloud mining no comment since i never tried cloud mining. i prefer buying pc stuffs, build rig, setting etc etc....

Previously, you said you sell BTC?
Where you get BTC?

Every week I buy around RM20K in btc
but all through Localbitcoins and they are quite expensive...
Coinbox and Bitx down and the xbit asia volume quite low and process the deposits quite slowly.
*
from my casual mining. im still looking for a place to sell, xbitasia price isnt really good but thats the only place i can sell for now.
