Another view of the aluminium frame, maybe can give you DIY builders some idea smile.gif

Dimensions 27" wide x 12" tall x 10" deep, originally built with stacking in mind:

Nice frame - is there a tray underneath for the board?
No tray, just screw the mobo direct to the frame but using some plastic tubing (aquarium type) as standoffs. The tough part is drilling the holes accurately to fit the ATX layout.

Latest rig mod - Extended the frame to add 4 x 190cfm delta focus flow fans (provided by Allngap).

Before & After pics:

Before this I was using a normal 16" home table fan as the main blower on the rigs. Eventually
I switched to a monster 28" industrial stand fan @ 9000cfm shocking.gif, BUT surprisingly the results
were exactly the same as using the table fan.

Switching to the new delta fans setup, there was an immediate improvement on performance.
Temps dropped by ~10C and gpu rpms are slower as well when hashing Scrypt and Scrypt-N.

Conclusion is that their tighter airflow and higher pressure from the deltas are able to push
through the nooks and crannies, whereas the air big fans just slams and goes around the rig
structure as a whole and fails to flow tightly in between the parts.

One thing to note however is that the high pressure from the deltas would physically force the
nearest gpu fan to spin slower. Sometimes it would be so strong that Sgminer would go haywire
and refuse to start the gpu as the rpm and / or temp sensor goes nuts. To fix it, I partially taped
off the openings at the front of the gpu so LESS air enters the gpu shroud. Something to be
aware of should you intend to use this kind of setup.

What cards are those?

I still have 14 x 280X running 24/H per day causing crazy electric bills mining VTC

One of the fans on my GPUs stopped working , probably because at low RPM due to Delta being pointed at it, otherwise all good!

All 280x.

Suspect the gpu fan was overstressed spinning against the delta's airflow, monitoring it on my own rigs as well.

But then again I guess the deltas alone are also strong enough to cool the gpus, just rip off the shroud and stock fans smile.gif

Wow this thread resurrected! Everyone left because of the bear market in the past month. As usual once price comes back and all start coming back to the game again. Remember, the best time to buy or mine is when others are fearful - prices cheaper, difficulty lower.

Right now still mining but focus on new X11 / X13 pump and dump scam coins. Once it gets listed on an exchange, must quickly throw or become water fish smile.gif

Avoiding Scrypt and Scrypt-N algos for now, even with their double power and heat requirements, their profits are lower than X11/13s.

There's a new X15 coin (BBL) that just came out 1-2 days ago but haven't had time to look at the miner software yet.
