found out one thing when i use enamel black to paint the panel line, actually using pen (Artline water based 0.05) also can achieve the same effect (for me, it has better control than using enamel paint)

just draw on the panel line and use cotton bud dip ABIT of enamel thinner then rub the excess off. Same result (for my case)
though i have wasted my money on buying the enamel black, sigh

not sure what you're trying to say but usually people will use pen@gundam marker first for panel lining. Enamel too time consuming whistling.gif
from what I understand, you're doing the hard way first laugh.gif

i actually did panel line using gundam marker but it was messy, then i bought a enamel black to do panel line, in the end, the result was not pleasant, as i'm getting frustrated, i used artline 0.05 which i bought recently to fix those lines, and then found out that it has better outcome compared to the enamel way. And it can be cleaned using enamel thinner as well laugh.gif So, for now, i think i stick to artline pen + enamel thinner

*ps: i found that enamel paint alre did some damage to my pieces due to its corrosive nature doh.gif

it seems weathering was easier at parts that have already been sprayed with top coat matt

0.03? wow, didn't know they make those. 0.05 was already very thin laugh.gif

popular don't really cater those kind of stuff. Their items are mostly related to schools
those kind of pen are usually use for drawings and technical drafting, art shop usually have them especially if they are close to any university or college

I feel it look more like SHADING than weathering, to me . but OK also, look good, HV detail a bit adi.
U can Try use cutting knife or hobby knife to scratch or minor cutting at the side edge of the ammor, make it damage a bit.
Then drybrushing the damage u made.

U can try experiment it.

For experiment purpose, do with hg better.... Haha biggrin.gif
Next time u can try use mg when already know how to do. laugh.gif

For me, shading and weathering different (for me only, different people different opinions)
Shading is like add more depth to the kit like shadows. Weathering is like bring more realistic feel to the kit like real life robot from war.

I learn weathering from here:

technically black/gray shading is equivalent to exhaust weathering, though too uniform will make it look unnatural as weathering

damages are count as battle damage/scar
