Yea, I'm using my home WiFi connection. I bought the device just yesterday and have had issues a few hours after going online, but I did manage to download a few apps for a short period of time (Firefox, Bible etc).

For some reason if I keep pushing through, some apps (ANT+) install, but the rest is still having the problems.

EDIT: Just did a factory reset. Hopefully everything goes back to normal. Otherwise I think it's my house internet connection.

First easy way, check if your cpu is being kept at high speed or cores kept turned on when device is idle (NOT screen off). If yes turn on show cpu usage in development settings and see Wtf is doing it.

Edit: when idle only 1 core should be on and that core must be able to go down to 300mhz.

Use BBS and check for wake lock. If no suspicious wakelock, check for excessive cpu usage when screen on. If nothing suspicious, then it's normal. Maybe you just not using the phone frequent enough thus android OS exceeds screen on time and your screen on time is low.

Try to uninstall Google Now, or freeze using TB

What app you use for the proximity sensor. I recommend automaton.

As said above, please try to wipe google play data and cache. If this does not work try removing your google account and add it back.

What I like:

• New Bootanimation is awesome!
  
• Overall even much solid now. and I don't find any issue yet. So far so Great!
  
• The Network Speed Meter Indicator finally can be disable.
  
• CRT screen off animation is working.
  
• More features add-on, example like 4 way Multi Windows.
  
• X-Note Extra Menu came with proper size icon now in Settings.
  
• 9 different design of SystemUI to choose from at Aroma installation.
  

What is partially not working but not a big deal:

• Wanam Xposed Center clock not working even you choose no mod SystemUI. The only way to get the center clock is flash the mod edition - Center clock. Not a big deal here as now have 9 different design of SystemUI to choose from.
  

What is not yet include:

• The AOSP pure black systemUI is not there yet. Waiting on this.

How to know the Samsung S View cover have S View function or not?

I know there are plenty of China OEM that are trying to use their imitation chip to gain the S-view feature. As some forumers pointed out, the chip detection is not that good, in the sense that sometimes it takes a few seconds to react to the cover open/close, or sometimes failed to detect. If you can live with those flaws( basically can just close and open again if it failed to detect anyway ) it's way cheaper. Taobao got plenty
