I find that MJ7 really drain a lot of battery. Previously I easily get 5 to 6h SOT. Now maximum 4h.

same. after the MJ7, battery drain is terrible. arghhh

Android OS always on top. Used to be way below the battery usage. I try factory reset now, seems like one user in XDA get it fix by factory reset.

In that thread, those who suffered the battery drain issue are mainly Exynos model, and Snapdragon model has no issue on it.

When did you update your phone? Try to give it a few charge cycle to allow the battery to settle down with the new base. I don't have issue with battery those day on stock rooted UK MJ7 firmware
*
Since the day it came out until now. Few user here face it too. Oh well I just reset it, see how it goes next few day.

same here, have to charge twice a day  sweat.gif

Mine only last SOT 3h to 4h. sad.gif

Have you check with BBS what is draining your battery in the background? I only have the Android OS top in the list when I run on Abyss kernel. But after changing kernel got no issue with it. But since you are on stock ROM, I suspect something else is draining it
*
Maybe the kernel help you out, I just reset it. Will monitor it afterward.

So far I don't need root yet. Even Note 3 with those S Apps (bloatware) still perform well enough thumbup.gif

Finally got my UAG case today. My super short review: the build quality is well done, slimmer than Otterbox, but kinda stylish rugged.

doesn't matter to me, 4.3 is smooth enough for me. Much rather Samsung work on their battery drain in MJ7.

ML2 rock n' rolla!

[attachmentid=3776844]

Need a couple of days to observe the battery usage.. Feels like battery drop quite fast when I was in MJ7 although I haven't verify it..

Antutu Benchmark...

You manually flash it? This is latest firmware from SG right? Does it trip Knox if flash manually ?

I use MOP, lazy to boot to check knox, but the procedure to flash is the same when I first flashed MJ7 before, so I assume my knox is still 0x0.

You can root with Odin too, @antt00 uploaded his manual-patched ML2. Should be somewhere around page 100
*
Can I still receive ota after flash it?

Anyone using extra battery kit here? useful?

Useful if you are heavy user. That's the good thing about removable battery.

Once rooted it is always advice to turn off auto software update. You might still be able to receive the OTA but if you update it then it could cause issue to your device
*
So I need to root even flash official firmware ?
